A protective barrier includes an angle bracket having a length extending from a first end to a second end of the protective barrier. The angle bracket includes a first elongate leg member having a first edge extending along the length of the angle bracket, the first elongate member having a first side configured to be mounted to a surface, a second elongate leg member extending along the length of the angle bracket and substantially perpendicular from the first elongate leg member, and an impact absorber extending from the first end to the second end of the protective barrier, the impact absorber being compressible and configured to be disposed on the angle bracket.

A post assembly has a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end and includes a hollow outer shell, an anchoring sub-assembly disposed at the proximal end for securing the post assembly to a surface, a core assembly disposed within the hollow outer shell. The core assembly includes a core tube, a rigid rod having a lower end mechanically coupled to the anchoring sub-assembly and extending along the longitudinal axis to an upper end, and an elastic member disposed around the upper end of the rigid rod, the elastic member configured to transfer forces incident on the hollow outer shell through the elastic member to the anchoring sub-assembly via the rigid rod.

A protective barrier and a door frame protection system include a bar having an upper section having an outer dimension; a lower section having an inner dimension greater than the outer dimension of the upper section, the lower section configured to receive the upper section; and a shock absorber configured to be positioned within the lower section and around the upper section, the shock absorber having an outer dimension less than the inner dimension of the lower section and an inner dimension greater than the outer dimension of the upper section.

A protective barrier includes a first end piece including a first opening and a first anchoring member for securing the first end piece to a surface, a second end piece including a second opening and a second anchoring member for securing the second end piece to the surface, a rail extending between the first end piece and the second end piece, the rail having a first end disposed in the first opening of the first end piece and a second end disposed in the second opening of the second end piece, and a cable system including a first fastener coupled to the first anchoring member, a second fastener coupled to the second anchoring member, and a cable having a first end attached to the first fastener and a second attached to the second fastener, the cable extending from the first fastener, through the first opening, through the rail, through the second opening, and to the second fastener.

The elongate shell has an inner surface, an outer surface, a first shell edge, and a first flange protruding from the first shell edge in a direction toward the inner surface of the elongate shell. The elongate base includes a base body including a first base edge and a first latching element extending from the first base edge of the base body, the first latching element having a first inclined outer surface and a first shoulder. The elongate base is configured for insertion into the elongate shell with the first flange engaging the first shoulder of the first latching element.

A sign post assembly includes a core assembly. The core assembly includes an impact absorbing mechanism and an elongated post. The impact absorbing mechanism includes an anchoring plate including a through hole, and a first elastic impact absorber. The elongated post has a proximal end and a distal end. A flange is disposed at the distal end of the post and rests on a top surface of the first elastic impact absorber with the post extending through the through hole in anchoring plate. A dimension of an outer surface of the post is less than a dimension of an inner surface of the through hole and the flange has a peripheral shape that prevents the flange from passing through the through hole.
