A power card edge connector includes: a housing defining a card slot; and a power terminal comprising an inner piece and an outer piece stacked together, the inner piece comprising a first retaining portion and a first elastic portion, the outer piece comprising a second retaining portion and a second elastic portion, the first and second retaining portions attached together, wherein the first elastic portion defines a first contacting portion, the second elastic portion is split into a second contacting portion and an abutting portion separated from each other, the first and second the contacting portions are arranged side by side and protrude into the card slot, and the first contacting portion is pushable outward to abut against the abutting portion.

Power card edge connector with improved power terminals

A card edge connector includes: an insulating housing including two opposite side walls, a card slot defined between the two side walls and opening forward, and plural passageways on the side wall; a row of terminals received in corresponding passageways respectively and categorized with first terminals and second terminals, two adjacent first terminals being paired to be a pair of differential terminals and the second terminals being non-differential terminals, each of the row of terminals including a retaining portion, an elastic portion extending forward and a leg portion extending rearward from the elastic portion; and plural insulators retained in the insulating housing, wherein the first terminal and the second terminal are similarly shaped, each pair of differential terminals is retained in the insulator, and each of the second terminals is directly retained in the passageway.

Card edge connector with improved terminal pattern

A card edge connector includes an insulative housing extending along a lengthwise direction, two rows of (contact) passageways formed in two opposite side walls with a central slot therebetween. Two rows of contacts are disposed within the corresponding passageways, respectively. The contacts include signal contacts and grounding contacts. Each side wall further forms an elongated channel by two sides of central wall under the central slot. A covering block is upwardly assembled into the corresponding channel after the corresponding contacts have been assembled into the corresponding passageways. Each block includes a deflectable latch engaged with the central wall. The covering block occupies at least one half of each passageway in the transverse direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction. The covering block is optimally made of conductive plastic and forms a plurality of abutment ribs to respectively abut against the corresponding grounding contacts, respectively.

A card edge connector includes an insulative housing with a pair of side walls along a longitudinal direction with a receiving slot therebetween in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The housing has a bottom wall connecting the pair of side walls and under the receiving slot. A plurality of passageways are formed in the housing to receive the corresponding contacts, respectively. Each contact has a retention section, a resilient contacting section and a horizontal soldering section. A vertical distance between the upper face of the bottom wall and the respective soldering sections is within a range between 2.50 mm and 1.00 mm.

A card edge connector includes a housing defining a card slot, a terminal module and a grounding member. The terminal module includes two rows of terminals and an insulating base with a first surface, a second surface and end surfaces between and connecting with the first and second surfaces. Each row of terminals includes a plurality of signal terminals and a plurality of grounding terminals. The terminals includes contacting sections extending out the first surface of the insulating base and into the card slot, leg sections extending out the second surface of the insulating base, and connecting sections. The grounding member fitly surrounds the end surfaces of the insulating base and includes a group of first contacting arms and a group of second contacting arms, each grounding terminal is contacted with one first contacting arm and one second contacting arm.

A card edge connector includes an elongated insultive housing extending along a longitudinal direction, a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insultive housing and an ejector retained at one longitudinal end of the insultive housing. The insultive housing defines a central slot recessed from an upper surface thereof for receiving a memory module. The ejector defines a base portion and a pair of gripping portions extending from the base portion along a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, said two gripping portions have an accommodating slot located therebetween and running therethrough in the longitudinal direction for receiving the memory module and a latching means located in the accommodating slot for locking the memory module. The latching means defines an opening communicating with said accommodating slot, a first lump portion and a second lump portion separated from each other by the opening.
