A gasket for use with flanges has an annular member formed of a metallic material. The annular member has a cross-sectional profile with a body portion having an end surface, a first side, a second side, and a T-shaped portion extending from the body portion. The T-shaped portion of the body portion defines a pair of annular grooves on opposite sides of the annular member. The T-shaped portion has a central portion connected to the body portion and a head portion at an end of the central portion opposite the body portion. The central portion of the T-shaped portion has a weep hole extending therethrough. The weep hole has opposite ends opening respectively to the pair of annular grooves.

A seal for use with a first coupling element and a second coupling element has an annular configuration. The seal has an inner wall and an outer wall. The seal has a first portion, a central portion and a second portion. The central portion extends outwardly of the first portion and the second portion. A channel is formed in the central portion so as to have one end opening to the outer wall at the first portion and an opposite end opening to the outer wall at the second portion. The seal is formed of a metallic material. The outer wall at the central portion has a generally V-shaped configuration.

Seal for use in subsea connections and subsea connections employing such a seal

A subsea latch tool has a latch tool body with an outer surface, a lock piston slidably mounted over the outer surface of the latch tool body and movable between an extended position and a retracted position, and a lock ring extending around the outer surface of the latch tool body. The lock piston has a wedge surface at an end thereof. The wedge surface of the lock piston is interposed between the outer surface of the latch tool body and an inner surface of the lock ring. The lock piston is movable from the retracted position to the extended position so as to expand an outer diameter of the lock ring.
