A rapid shutdown device (RSD) includes: a logic-and-analog circuit; an RSD ID storage for storing an unique RSD ID; a control command receiving circuit for receiving and decode a control command including a combination of an all-RSD turn-on command, a single-RSD turn-on command and a to-be-tested RSD ID; a switch circuit connected to the logic-and-analog circuit; and a bypass circuit connected between two output terminals of the RSD. When the switch circuit is turned off, the bypass circuit is turned on. The logic-and-analog circuit controls the on/off state of the switch circuit according to a decoding result of the control command receiving circuit and the unique RSD ID stored in the RSD ID storage. When the switch circuit is turned on, an output voltage received from a photovoltaic module coupled to the RSD is outputted via the RSD.

A rapid shutdown (RSD) control circuit includes: a RSD controller having first and second terminals coupled to first and second terminals of a photovoltaic cell module, respectively; a transistor having a gate coupled to the RSD controller, a source coupled to the second terminal of the photovoltaic cell module, and a drain; and a diode coupled between the drain of the transistor and the first terminal of the photovoltaic cell module. In a normal state, controlled by the RSD controller, the transistor is controlled to have a first impedance state and the photovoltaic cell module outputs an output power to an inverter. In a shutdown state, controlled by the RSD controller, the transistor and the diode are controlled as a variable impedance, and thus a voltage between the first terminal and the second terminal of the photovoltaic cell module is regulated to a desired voltage.

Photovoltaic cell system and rapid shutdown (RSD) control circuit and method

A voltage adjusting circuit includes a reference voltage generating circuit, a subtractor circuit, a threshold generating circuit and a comparator circuit. The voltage adjusting circuit may provide power supply signals to an amplifier circuit so that the amplifier circuit may provide an output signal to a load according to an input signal. The subtractor circuit generates a difference signal according to the output signal and the power supply signal. The comparator circuit compares the difference signal and a threshold signal generated by the threshold generating circuit for configuring the reference voltage generating circuit to adjust the signal value of the power supply signal.

Voltage adjusting circuit for amplifier circuit and method thereof

A dual mode charge pump is operable in a first mode or a second mode for providing positive and negative output voltages that can be stabilized by adjusting the charging time of two terminals of a flying capacitor or by adjusting the charging/discharging time of the positive and negative voltage output terminals. The dual mode charge pump can apply to a much wider input supply voltage range with less numbers of power switches, thus requiring less die area and lower costs. Moreover, the dual mode charge pump can precisely define a common mode voltage, thus making the common voltage drift smaller and less load dependent, especially when the output supply voltages are under different load conditions.

A conversion circuit is provided for a 1.5-bit &#x3a3;-&#x394; class-D amplifier to improve the feedback linearity of the class-D amplifier, by periodically inverting and mixing a first positive feedback signal and a first negative feedback signal from the power stage of the class-D amplifier to generate a second positive feedback signal and a second negative feedback signal with better linearity for feedback control in the class-D amplifier.

Apparatus and method for improving the feedback linearity of a 1.5-bit sigma-delta class-D amplifier

A sigma-delta class-D amplifier includes a quantizer to quantize an input to produce a digital signal, and an output stage to produce an output according to the digital signal. The quantizer has a smaller step size so that the digital signal has at least five logical levels, and the sigma-delta class-D amplifier is thus improved to have wider stable modulation range and less switching loss.
