A direct type illuminating device includes a light source unit, a reflector plate, a diffuser plate, and a lens module. The light source unit provides source light beams. The reflector plate and the diffuser plate are spaced at an interval from each other, and the light source unit is interposed between the reflector plate and the diffuser plate. The lens module surrounds the light source unit such that the lens module is interposed between the light source unit and the reflector and diffuser plates. An outer curved surface of the lens module has a radius of curvature different from a radius of curvature of an outer curved surface of the light source unit such that the source light beams provided by the light source unit are refracted by the lens module to result in change of traveling directions of the source light beams.

Direct type illuminating device

A light emitting module including a light source set and a light guide member is provided. The light source set is suitable for providing a light and the light guide member is disposed above the light source set. The light guide member has a top surface, an opposite light incident surface, a first reflection surface, and an opposite light emergent surface connected between the top surface and the light incident surface. The top surface has a first concave surface serving a second reflection surface suitable for reflecting the light. Besides, a portion of the light reflected by the second reflection surface emerges from the light emergent surface through the reflection of the first reflection surface, and the other portion of the light directly emerges from the light emergent surface. Additionally, a surface light source device having the light emitting module is also provided.

Light emitting module and surface light source device

A side-emitting light-emitting element and a packaging lens thereof, wherein the packaging lens comprises an incident surface, a reflective surface, a first refractive surface, and a second refractive surface. The first refractive surface has zigzag surfaces. After a light from a light source enters into the packaging lens through the incident surface, a portion of the light is reflected by the reflective surface to the first refractive surface via total internal reflection to vertically penetrate the first refractive surface and then proceeds along a first optical path. The other portion of the light is refracted by the second refractive surface to penetrate the second refractive surface and then proceeds along a second optical path, which is parallel to the first optical path. A zigzag surface of the first refractive surface avoids from undesired lights reflected by the first refractive surface.

Side-emitting light-emitting element and packaging lens thereof

A lens of a side emitting LED includes a bottom surface, an incident surface, a reflective surface, a first refractive surface, a second refractive surface and a third refractive surface. An light emitted by a LED enters the lens through the incident surface. A portion of the light is reflected by the reflective surface in an internal total reflection manner to the second refractive surface and emits out of the lens along a first optical path. The other portion of light directly emits out of the lens through the first refractive surface and the third refractive surface. A transitive surface is located between the first refractive surface and the reflective surface. Such a design allows the light entered the lens through the incident surface not cross with the transitive surface. Hence an improper reflection or refraction can be prevented.
