Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for determining real-time changes to content entered into a user interface to generate results for the content. In response to determining that entry of first content in a user input field rendered in a user interface is completed, the first content is provided to a classification program to classify into a first machine classification to provide to a rules engine to determine a first machine determined proposition. The first machine determined proposition is rendered in the user interface. A determination is made of second content in the user input field from the user that differs from the first content. The second content is provided to the classification program to classify into a second machine classification to provide to the rules engine to determine a second machine determined proposition rendered in the user interface with the second content.

An in-memory database system and method for administrating a distributed in-memory database, comprising one or more nodes having modules configured to store and distribute database partitions of collections partitioned by a partitioner associated with a search conductor. Database collections are partitioned according to a schema. Partitions, collections, and records, are updated and removed when requested by a system interface, according to the schema. Supervisors determine a node status based on a heartbeat signal received from each node. Users can send queries through a system interface to search managers. Search managers apply a field processing technique, forward the search query to search conductors, and return a set of result records to the analytics agents. Analytics agents perform analytics processing on a candidate results records from a search manager. The search conductors comprising partitioners associated with a collection, search and score the records in a partition, then return a set of candidate result records after receiving a search query from a search manager.

Implementation of clustered in-memory database

This invention relates to a method and system for remotely monitoring computer-aided detection (CAD) system processing status. In film-based CAD systems digital images are created by a film digitizer, which is typically loaded with 50 or 100 films. Occasionally, film feeding errors occur which halt the digitization. This invention provides a method and system for detecting the stoppage and for notifying an operator who is not in the vicinity of the digitizer. Notification is accomplished by a variety of methods including pager, telephone, cell phone, and mobile computing devices. In addition to notification of stoppages, the operator may choose to be notified when a certain number of films remain to be processed. This allows the digitizer to be loaded with additional films before the CAD system completes processing of the originally loaded set of films. System efficiency is increased by eliminating idle intervals where the CAD system is stopped awaiting input data.

Method and system for remote monitoring of processing status in computer-aided detection systems

A method and system for detecting and displaying clustered microcalcifications in a digital mammogram, wherein a single digital mammogram is first automatically cropped to a breast area sub-image which is then processed by means of an optimized Difference of Gaussians filter to enhance the appearance of potential microcalcifications in the sub-image. The potential microcalcifications are thresholded, clusters are detected, features are computed for the detected clusters, and the clusters are classified as either suspicious or not suspicious by means of a neural network. Thresholding is preferably by sloping local thresholding, but may also be performed by global and dual-local thresholding. The locations in the original digital mammogram of the suspicious detected clustered microcalcifications are indicated. Parameters for use in the detection and thresholding portions of the system are computer-optimized by means of a genetic algorithm. The results of the system are optimally combined with a radiologist's observation of the original mammogram by combining the observations with the results, after the radiologist has first accepted or rejected individual detections reported by the system.
