A display device includes a display portion including sub-pixels, and a light control portion overlapping the display portion. The display portion includes a red sub-pixel, a green sub-pixel, and a blue sub-pixel, each of the red sub-pixel, the green sub-pixel, and the blue sub-pixel is shaped in a parallelogram, and inclined at a first angle of greater than or equal to 4&#xb0; and less than or equal to 16&#xb0; with respect to the second direction. The light control portion is inclined at a second angle substantially equivalent to arctan (2/9) with respect to the second direction.
