A hydrocyclone for separating feed into overflow and underflow comprises a feed inlet, an overflow outlet, an apex for discharging underflow, an upper section connected to the feed inlet and the overflow outlet, a conical section between the upper section and the apex and a plurality of electrodes for measuring electrical conductivity inside the hydrocyclone to detect the formation of a roping state in the hydrocyclone. The plurality of electrodes are is positioned circumferentially in the conical section on an axial distance from the apex (d); wherein dis at least 5 percent of the axial distance between the apex and the upper section, and dis at most 50 percent of the axial distance between the apex and the upper section.

Hydrocyclone for detecting formation of a roping state

A tire is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation. The tire includes a tread block forming part of a tread of the tire and a circuit having a primary capacitive component. At least a part of the primary capacitive component is arranged a first distance from the tread and inside the tread block and a primary inductive component of which at least a part is arranged a second distance towards the interior of the tire from the tread. The tire includes an interrogator having an electric source, a communication circuit, and a secondary inductive component. A tire, comprising a module and a receptacle connected to an inner surface of the tire. The aim of the disclosed solution is to present a method of inserting an insert to a tread a tire such that the insert, particularly a fragile insert such as an insert comprising electronic components, may be protected against gripping and impact forces during its insertion. The disclosed solution is premised on an insert being housed, at least partially, in a sleeve upon and during its installation to a tread of a tire. Thus, the sleeve may be employed to provide protection for the insert against gripping and/or impact forces during the insertion of the insert into the tread a tire.

Method for inserting an insert into a tire

A method for making a blind hole in a prefabricated tire and a method for inserting an insert to such a blind hole are disclosed. The former comprises arranging available a prefabricated tire comprising tread blocks forming the tread of the tire, and thereafter machining such a blind hole to a tread block of the tire that the blind hole has a first cross section at a first depth and a second cross section at a second depth, wherein the second cross section is greater than the first cross section and the second depth is greater than the first depth.

Method for making a blind hole in a tire and a method for inserting an insert to the blind hole

A pneumatic tire includes a first tread area portion, an electric power source, a transmission device, an accelerometer, and a control unit configured to operate in a power saving mode and a normal mode. A contact of the first tread area portion with a surface is detected by sensing acceleration of the first tread area portion by the accelerometer. The control unit is configured to switch from the normal mode to the power saving mode after a detection that the first tread area portion is on a contact patch of the tire. The control unit is configured to switch from the power saving mode to the normal mode when a first specified time depending on the rotation speed of the tire has elapsed since the detection that the first tread area portion is on the contact patch. A monitoring method and a system are used with the pneumatic tire.

A tire comprising a tread block made of tread material, a tread, of which a part is formed by the tread block, and an insert comprising a primary capacitive component and a primary inductive component. The insert extends in a longitudinal direction from a bottom of the insert to a top of the insert. The insert has a first cross section at a first longitudinal position and a second cross section at a second longitudinal position, wherein the first longitudinal position is located closer to the tread of the tire than the second longitudinal position, and the second cross section is greater than the first cross section. At least a part of the top of the insert does not form an interface with the tread material. A method for applying an insert into a tire. An insert is inserted into a blind hole of the tire such that the bottom of the insert is inserted deeper in the blind hole than the top of the insert.
