A method of imaging a tissue region may comprise visualizing one or more lesions in vivo over a tissue region within a body through an imaging catheter. The method may further comprise measuring a temperature or an electrical potential of the one or more lesions. The method may further comprise overlaying a gradient indicative of the temperature or the electrical potential upon a visual image of the one or more lesions captured in vivo. The method may further comprise registering ablation parameters to the visual image of the one or more lesions and displaying the visual image with the overlaid gradient and the registered ablation parameters.

A method of imaging a tissue region may comprise visualizing lesions over a tissue region via an imaging catheter by viewing the tissue region through a viewing region purged by a fluid and identifying, with a computer, a location of each of the lesions relative to one another over the tissue region. The method may also include registering, with the computer, a unique set of ablation parameters received from a treatment device for lesion generation for each of the lesions and generating, with the computer, a map of the lesions based on the identified locations of the lesions. The method may also include visually displaying the map of the lesions in a common display with a real-time field of view image of a first lesion; and visually displaying the registered unique set of ablation parameters for the first lesion with the real-time field of view image of the first lesion.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may include stereo cameras that include a left camera and a right camera. The cameras may capture a majority of images in black and white, which may be captured in a single color channel. At certain times during a flight, the UAV may be configured to generate colorized images. To generate colorized images, the camera may capture a first image using a default color channel (e.g., green), which may be used for black and white images, and then selectively apply a color filter to capture a second image associated with a different color channel than the first image. A multi-channel color image may be created using at least the first image and the second image. By adding a third image in the remaining color channel, the created image may be generated as a red-green-blue image.

An auto-focus system employing a tunable liquid crystal lens is provided that collects images at different optical power values as the liquid crystal molecules are excited between a ground state and a maximum optical power state tracking image focus scores. An image is acquired at a desired optical power value less than maximum optical power established with the liquid crystal molecules closer a fully excited state than the maximum optical power state having the same image focus score. This drive signal employed during image acquisition uses more power than was used to achieve the same optical power value during the auto-focus scan, while actively driving the liquid crystal molecules is fast. A pause due to image transfer/processing delays after acquisition is employed to allow slow relaxation of the liquid crystal molecules back to the ground state in preparation for a subsequent focus search.

A processing device receives a first scanned image of a first display and determines a first characteristic of the first display by analyzing the first scanned image. The processing device also receives a second scanned image of a second display and determines a second characteristic of the second display by analyzing the second scanned image. The processing device compares the first characteristic and the second characteristic to determine a third characteristic of the second display.

This disclosure relates to systems and methods for adjusting camera device characteristics using a remote imaging server. The camera device may take an initial image before the user takes a picture. The initial image is provided to the imaging server over a network. The imaging server analyzes the initial image and assesses which image parameters may need to be adjusted to capture a higher quality picture. The image parameters may include, but are not limited to, brightness, reflectivity, user vibrations, skin tone, subject movement, light sources, and/or user preferences. The imaging server may provide recommendations or adjustments to the camera device prior to the user taking a picture. The imaging server may also prompt the user to position or orientation of the camera device or a subject prior to taking a picture.

Systems and methods for updating camera characteristics using a remote computing device

Techniques for calibrating spatial uniformity of light emitted by a light source include receiving light from a unit under test with an array of photo detectors. Sampling circuitry receives an output signal generated by each of the photo detectors in response to the received light, and samples each of the output signals to generate a sampled output signal for each of the photo detectors. One or more processors determine a spatial uniformity measure of one or both of luminous intensity and chromaticity for the received light using the sampled output signals.

A method for identifying singleton outlier pixels in a selected color space in a digital image including a plurality of pixels, includes for each 3&#xd7;3 patch of pixels in the image, calculating the diameter of the 3&#xd7;3 patch of pixels. For each pixel in the patch, the distance to its nearest neighbor pixel within the patch is computed, as measured in the selected color space. The computed distance from each pixel in the patch is compared to its nearest neighbor with a threshold that is a preselected fraction of the diameter. A center pixel in the patch is identified as an outlier pixel if its calculated distance to its nearest neighbor is the largest distance to a nearest neighbor and exceeds the threshold.

A method of and system for calibrating an imaging device is described herein. An iterative method that attempts to find the best calibration parameters conditional upon an error metric is used. Regression is used to estimate values in a color space where the calibration is performed based upon a training data set. More calculation steps are required than would be for a regression in raw RGB space, but the convergence is faster in the color space where the calibration is performed, and the advantages using boundary conditions in the color space is able to provide improved calibration.

Adaptive prediction of calibration parameters for color imaging devices

A system for and method of calibrating an imaging device efficiently is described herein. The imaging device acquires an image of an object that is more than one color. The information acquired is then transferred to a computing device. The information is then used to generate a set of data which represents information which was not acquired in the image. The set of data is generated based on statistical prediction using a training data set. Using acquired image information and the set of data, an imaging device is able to be calibrated. Since the process of calibration utilizing this method only requires one image to be acquired and a reduced set of image information to be sent to the computing device, the process is more efficient than previous implementations.

Sequential regression for calibration from residues

A system for and method of determining calibration parameters while only capturing a single image is described herein. Furthermore, traditional calibration algorithms are avoided by the direct determination of the calibration parameters. The determination of the calibration parameters is possible by first determining a training data set from images acquired of a variety of objects with a multitude of colors. Then, using the training data set, regression coefficients are generated. A camera to be calibrated then acquires only one set of image information such as a single picture. Then, using the regression coefficients and the acquired information, the calibration parameters are directly estimated for that camera.
