Methods and apparatus for providing multiple transaction cards in a single package are described. According to one aspect, a carrier package arrangement includes a holder and a plurality of transaction cards. The transaction cards are retained on the holder, and are arranged to be transitioned form an unactivated state to an activated state using a first activation code. The carrier package arrangement can also include a case that can contain the holder and the plurality of transaction cards.

Multi-pack gift card and activation thereof

Methods and apparatus for providing multiple transaction cards in a single package are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method for forming a carrier package arrangement includes obtaining a plurality of transaction cards, obtaining a first parent activation code, and associating the first parent activation code with the plurality of transaction cards. The method can also include packing the plurality of transaction cards in the carrier package arrangement, and providing the first parent activation code so as to be on or accessible from the carrier package arrangement. The plurality of transaction cards can thereafter be activated using the first parent activation code.

Method for assembling and activating a multi-pack package of transaction cards

A transaction card carrier is disclosed. The transaction card carrier may include a transaction card having substantially the same width as the transaction card carrier. The transaction card may also be secured on the transaction card carrier such that at least one scan bar positioned on the back surface of the transaction card is visible and accessible without manipulating the transaction card carrier.

In one embodiment, a card may have a card substrate having at least a surface, the surface including at least predetermined information to be concealed provided thereon, and a dual scratch and peel label provided on the card substrate over the predetermined information, the dual scratch and peel label including at least: (i) a first base film adhered to the card substrate over the at predetermined information; (ii) a second base film releasably adhered over the first base film; and (iii) a scratch-off surface applied over the second base film, the scratch-off surface being configured to conceal the predetermined information provided on the card substrate.

Methods and apparatus for encoding information on a magnetic stripe of a transaction card are disclosed. According to one aspect, a transaction card includes a first surface and a second surface that substantially opposes the first surface. The second surface has a magnetic stripe. A first representation of a first pattern and a second representation of the first pattern can be encoded on the magnetic stripe. In one embodiment, the first representation can be encoded beginning at approximately a first distance from a first edge of the second surface, and the second representation can be encoded to within approximately the first distance from a second edge of the second surface.

Methods and systems for encoding a magnetic stripe

A greeting card system comprises a card member. The card member includes a first window. The system includes a gift card attached to the card member. The gift card is activated through use of a code that is displayed in the first window. Accordingly, a greeting card system is provided that allows for immediate use of a gift card. The system minimizes fraud or theft of the card through the use of an activation code thereon.
