A shaft assembly having: a first shaft with an inner facing surface having: an inner facing spline extending between spline ends; an inner facing projection, adjacent to one of the spline ends, extending to an inner facing projection surface; and an inner facing projection seat, adjacent to another of the spline ends; and a second shaft having an outer facing surface having: an outer facing spline extending between spline ends; an outer facing projection, adjacent to one of the spline ends of the outer facing spline, extending to an outer projection surface; and an outer facing projection seat, adjacent to another of the ends of the outer facing spline; the first shaft at least partially surrounds the second shaft; the inner facing projection surface is disposed against the outer facing projection seat; and the outer facing projection surface disposed against the inner facing projection seat.

Splined shaft assembly with piloting features

A diode pack housing for a rotating rectifier assembly can include a body having an interior surface defining an interior cavity open on a first end and configured to contain a diode pack and a plurality of bus bar channels defined axially on or in the inner surface in the interior cavity. The plurality of bus bar channels can be five or less bus bar channels.

Rotating rectifiers

An input shaft includes an annular main shaft extending along a longitudinal axis with an internal bore configured for fluid flow through the annular main shaft. A generator spline is included on an exterior surface of a first end of the main shaft. A gearbox spline is included on an exterior surface of a second end of the main shaft opposite the first end. At least one orifice is defined through the main shaft from the internal bore to the exterior surface of the second end of the main shaft for flow of fluid from the internal bore to the exterior surface for cooling and lubrication.

Input shafts for generators

A terminal assembly includes a terminal block of a dielectric material defining a plurality of bores therethrough. A respective terminal contact of an electrically conductive material is seated in each of the respective bores. The terminal contact defines a longitudinal axis therethrough with a terminal bore defined through the terminal contact along the longitudinal axis. A divider wall separates the terminal bore into a solder cup for a lead wire on an interior side of the terminal bore, and a lug receptacle on an exterior side of the terminal bore.

A housing for a gas turbine engine accessory includes an enclosure having a drive end with an opening and a closure. The closure is seated in the opening, defines therethrough a shaft aperture and has a v-band flange extending about a periphery of the closure to limit load carried by the enclosure when the engine accessory is mounted to an accessory gearbox mount in a cantilevered arrangement. A lamination for use in an integrated drive generator is formed from a plurality of plates having a body including a pair of opposed cylindrical surfaces. Non-cylindrical ditches are defined circumferentially intermediate the pair of cylindrical surfaces. A plurality of passages are formed in an outer periphery of the cylindrical surfaces including relatively large holes extending through a slot to the outer periphery. Grooves are formed intermediate the relatively large holes.

A generator driven gear for use in an integrated drive generator has a gear body extending between a first end and a second end and having a disc extending radially outwardly. A boss extends from the disc toward the second end. There are outer gear teeth outwardly of an outer diameter of the disc. The outer gear teeth having a unique gear tooth profile with roll angles A, B, C, and D. An integrated drive generator and a method are also disclosed.

A port plate for use in an integrated drive generator has a body defining a semi-cylindrical charge port communicating with two circumferentially smaller charge port portions. A diametrically opposed working pressure port has three smaller working pressure ports. A center plane is defined extending through a center axis of a bore within the body and equidistance between circumferential ends of the charge port and the working fluid port. A first angle is defined between the plane and a circumferential end of the smaller charge port. The first angle is between 15 and 25 degrees. An integrated drive generator and a method are also disclosed.

A pump sleeve for an inversion pump in an integrated drive generator has a pump sleeve body extending between a first end and a second end, the first end being at a location adjacent an enlarged endplate. The body extends to the second end with a generally cylindrical body portion having a bore of an inner diameter from the first end to the second end, and between the first and second ends for a distance. A ratio of the first distance to the inner diameter being is 1.8 and 2.0. In addition, an integrated drive generator is disclosed as is a method of replacing an accessory drive gear in an integrated drive generator.

Pump sleeve for integrated drive generator

Generator housings for generators of aircraft are provided. The generator housings include a mounting pad at a first end, the generator housing extending to a second end, and a base arranged to connect to an electronics module. The generator housing defines a generator cavity and a flow path to supply a working fluid through the generator housing, the flow path extending between an inlet formed in the mounting pad and at least one outlet formed in the mounting pad. One or more electronics flow ports enable fluid connection between the flow path within the generator housing and the electronic module when connected and one or more inductor ports enable fluid connection between the flow path within the generator housing and one or more inductors when mounted to the generator housing.

A cam liner for use in an integrated drive generator has a cam liner body extending between a first end spaced from the second end by a first distance. The body is generally cylindrical. An outer diameter of the cam liner defines a second distance. A ratio of the first distance to the second distance is between 0.90 and 1.00. An integrated drive generator and a method are also disclosed.

A cam ledge is at an intermediate location between the first end and the second end. An annular cavity is defined between an inner surface of an inner bore of the disconnect shaft and an outer surface of a radially inner portion of the disconnect shaft. A generator and a method are also disclosed.
