Performing device management scheduling based upon a trap mechanism is provided. A scheduling context, upon receipt from a server, is installed. The scheduling context may have at least one of a first element specifying information including at least one command for device management and a second element specifying a trap-based condition to execute the command. The command is the message specified by the first element is executed, if an occurrence of particular event specified by the second element is found.

A method of receiving, by a memory card, a rights object (RO) from a rights issuer (RI) via a terminal. The method includes: receiving from the terminal, a provisioning setup request message including information about a size of rights to be installed in the memory card; checking whether there is a space in the memory card for the rights; transmitting, to the terminal, a provisioning setup response message including a status indicating a result of processing the provisioning setup request message; and receiving, from the terminal, a rights provisioning request message for installing the rights into the memory card, the rights provisioning request message including rights information. The method for managing rights object bound to the SRM, comprises: transmitting ROAP trigger from a rights issuer to a terminal; transmitting an RO request message from the terminal to the rights issuer and transmitting a response message to the RO request message from the rights issuer to the terminal; and transmitting the rights object included in the response message from a DRM agent of the terminal to a DRM agent of the SRM and installing the rights object in the SRM. In related art, the terminal can receive a particular task from a server, and perform the received particular task, only after the terminal reports to the server that a particular event has occurred. But, according to the present invention, the server provides the particular task in advance of the occurrence of the particular event. Therefore, the particular task can be performed by the terminal as soon as a particular event is occurred, so a waste of the network resources can be reduced. Meanwhile, according to the present invention, a routing service is provided between elements within the terminal, so that the elements within the terminal can be separated. In addition, according to the present invention, a source number and a registration number are used for the routing service, so that the routing service can be accurately operated. Moreover, malfunction of a processing unit can be prevented through the source number and the registration number, and performing of a task by a malicious user can be prevented.
