A slip-resistant and portable scanner for scanning a document placed on a document platen includes a housing, a scan window, and a scanning module and a slip-resistant structure. The scan window is mounted on the housing to closely face the document. The scanning module is disposed in the housing to scan the document through the scan window. The slip-resistant structure is disposed on and attached to a surface of the scan window facing the document and in contact with the document or the document platen. Thus, it is possible to prevent the scan window from slipping relatively to the document and enhance the scan quality and convenience.

A portable data processing device capable of acquiring images and supporting human hands includes a portable data processing module and a portable image acquiring module. The portable image acquiring module for scanning a document is mounted on a side surface of a base of the portable data processing module in order to support the human hands and make an operation interface, which is installed on the base, be easily operated.

A multi-function peripheral includes a first scan module for scanning a front side of a to-be-scanned document, a print module for printing data on a to-be-printed sheet, and a sheet-feeding mechanism for feeding the to-be-scanned document and the to-be-printed sheet and for moving the to-be-scanned document and the to-be-printed sheet along a sheet feeding path and across the first scan module and the print module.
