A display panel with switchable wide and narrow viewing angles, a driving method, and a display device are provided. The display panel is provided with a patterned identification area and a non-identification area. The display panel includes a light adjusting box and a display box which are arranged in a stacked manner. The light adjusting box includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a first liquid crystal layer. The first substrate is provided with a common viewing angle electrode, the second substrate is provided with a first viewing angle electrode and a second viewing angle electrode matching the common viewing angle electrode, the first viewing angle electrode corresponds to the identification pattern area, and the second viewing angle electrode corresponds to the non-identification pattern area.

An array substrate includes a substrate; a gate disposed on the substrate; a first insulating layer covering the gate; a first semiconductor layer and a second semiconductor layer that are provided on the first insulating layer, a channel corresponding to the gate being provided in the first semiconductor layer and second semiconductor layer, the second semiconductor layer including a first metal oxide semiconductor layer and a second metal oxide semiconductor layer which are stacked, both the first metal oxide semiconductor layer and the second metal oxide semiconductor layer being disconnected at the channel, and the oxygen vacancy concentration of the second metal oxide semiconductor layer being less than the oxygen vacancy concentration of the first metal oxide semiconductor layer; and a source and a drain that are provided on the second semiconductor layer, both the source and the drain being in electrically conductive contact with the second semiconductor layer.

An array substrate and a manufacturing method therefor, and a display panel are provided. The manufacturing method includes: forming a scan line and a gate on a substrate; forming a first insulating layer covering the scan line and the gate on the substrate; forming a metal oxide semiconductor layer above the first insulating layer, the metal oxide semiconductor layer including a source, a drain and an active layer; coating an upper surface of the metal oxide semiconductor layer with a photosensitive material layer; photoetching the photosensitive material layer from the back side of the substrate by using a first metal layer as a mask to form a channel protection layer; performing conductorization treatment on the metal oxide semiconductor layer to enable the source and the drain to be conductive; forming a data line above the first insulating layer; and forming a pixel electrode above the first insulating layer.

A driving method for a liquid crystal display device is provided. The liquid crystal display device has a wide viewing angle mode and a narrow viewing angle mode. The driving method includes: in the wide viewing angle mode, all the frames of the liquid crystal display device have the same display brightness; in the narrow viewing angle mode, the odd frames and the even frames of the liquid crystal display device have different display brightness. In the narrow viewing angle mode of the liquid crystal display device, by using an alternate driving method of bright frames and dark frames, the mura degree is significantly reduced, and the smoothness of dynamic picture display is improved, thereby improving the use experience of users.

Driving method for liquid crystal display device

A viewing angle switchable liquid crystal display device includes a display panel. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second substrate is provided with a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode is a common electrode, and the second electrode is a pixel electrode. The first substrate is provided with a third electrode for controlling the switching of the viewing angle. A periodic alternating voltage is applied to the third electrode when the viewing angle of the liquid crystal display device is switched, and a period of the periodic alternating voltage is an even multiple of a refresh period of each frame of the display panel.

Viewing angle switchable liquid crystal display device and viewing angle switching method

A method for driving a liquid crystal display device capable of switching between a wide viewing angle and a narrow viewing angle. In a first viewing angle mode, a direct-current common voltage is applied to a common electrode and voltage signals are applied to a first bias electrode and a second bias electrode. In a second viewing angle mode, a direct-current common voltage is applied to the common electrode, a first alternating-current voltage is applied to the first bias electrode and a second alternating-current voltage is applied to the second bias electrode. In addition, in the second viewing angle mode, pixel units covered by each first electrode strip of the first bias electrode have alternating positive and negative polarities, and pixel units covered by each second electrode strip of the second bias electrode have alternating positive and negative polarities.

Method for driving liquid crystal display device capable of switching between wide viewing angle and narrow viewing angle

A touch display panel with switchable viewing angles includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate is provided with a viewing angle control electrode. The second substrate is provided with a common electrode and a sensing circuit layer. The common electrode includes a plurality of electrode blocks arranged in an array and insulated from each other. The sensing circuit layer includes a plurality of sensing lines insulated from each other. The sensing lines are electrically connected to the electrode blocks in a one-to-one correspondence, respectively. Each frame of the display panel is divided into a display period and a touch period. The electrode blocks of the common electrode are used for image display during the display period, and the electrode blocks of the common electrode are used for touch sensing during the touch period.

Touch display panel and touch display device with switchable viewing angles

A liquid crystal display device having switchable viewing angles includes a display panel and a display control module. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The display control module is used for controlling the display panel to display images. The first substrate is provided with a first electrode. The second substrate is provided with a second electrode and a third electrode. The liquid crystal display device further includes a viewing angle control module. The display control module is further used to provide a synchronization signal to the viewing angle control module. According to the synchronization signal, when a next frame following a current frame on which a viewing angle switching signal is received starts to display, the viewing angle control module outputs a periodic alternating voltage for switching viewing angle to the first electrode.

Liquid crystal display device having switchable viewing angles and viewing angle switching method thereof

An LCD with switchable viewing angle includes a first substrate, second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate is provided with a first electrode and a second electrode. In an embodiment, the first electrode is a pixel electrode, and the second electrode is a common electrode. The second substrate is provided with a third electrode. Liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer are positive liquid crystal molecules. When a first bias voltage is applied to the third electrode, the LCD is displayed with a wide viewing angle; and when a second bias voltage greater than the first bias voltage is applied to the third electrode, the LCD is displayed with a narrow viewing angle.

Liquid crystal display with switchable viewing angle and method of viewing angle control

An LCD device includes a color filter (CF) substrate, a thin film transistor (TFT) substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The CF substrate includes a first transparent substrate, a CF layer, a black matrix and a shielding layer. The TFT substrate includes a second transparent substrate, a pixel electrode, a common electrode, and an insulating layer disposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. A control signal in the form of an AC voltage is provided to the shielding layer of the CF substrate, and a DC common voltage is provided to the common electrode. An alternating electric field is generated between the AC voltage of the control signal of the shielding layer and the DC common voltage of the common electrode to push impurity ions existed in the liquid crystal layer to swing up and down in the liquid crystal layer.

An LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate is provided with a first electrode thereon. The first electrode is provided with a plurality of stripe-like control electrodes for controlling a viewing angle of the LCD panel. The second substrate is provided with a second electrode and a third electrode thereon. The second electrode is a common electrode for inputting a common voltage to the LCD panel. The third electrode is a pixel electrode formed in each pixel of the LCD panel. When no bias voltage is applied to the stripe-like control electrodes of the first electrode, the LCD panel is displayed with a wide viewing angle; and when a bias voltage is applied to the stripe-like control electrodes of the first electrode, the LCD panel is displayed with a narrow viewing angle.

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first transparent substrate including a first surface and a second surface, a color filter layer formed on the first surface of the first transparent substrate, a first alignment film formed on the color filter layer, and a first electrode interlayered in the color filter layer. The second substrate includes a second transparent substrate comprising a third surface and a fourth surface, a second electrode and a third electrode formed on the third surface of the second transparent substrate sequentially, and a second alignment film is formed on the third electrode. The second electrode and the third electrode are arranged at different insulation layers respectively and electrically insulated with each other. The LCD device of the present invention has an improved transmittance and a fast response time.

Liquid crystal display substrate and device

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal (LC) layer sandwiched between the two substrates. The first substrate includes gate lines and data lines, and the gate lines and the data lines data lines are intersected with each other to define pixel areas. Each of the pixel areas includes a pixel electrode and first common electrodes arranged at different layers, and the first common electrodes are electrically coupled to each other. The second substrate includes a second common electrode, and the LC layer comprises negative LC molecules.

A liquid crystal display device, in which each pixel region includes a plurality of first electrodes electrically connected to each other, a plurality of second electrodes electrically connected to each other and a plurality of third electrodes electrically connected to each other; the third electrodes are arranged in parallel with the second electrodes approximately and are electrically connected with the first electrodes; the first electrodes and the second electrodes are located in different layers respectively and there is an insulation layer therebetween; the first electrodes and the third electrodes intersect with each other to define a plurality of unit regions; there are two second electrodes passing through inside each unit region, and the first electrode between the two second electrodes is provided with a protrusion-shaped pattern in a position not overlapping with the second electrode. The LCD device has a wider viewing angle and lower operating voltage.

An LCD includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, first and second alignment films respectively disposed on the first and second substrates. The first substrate comprises multiple scanning lines and multiple data lines intercrossed with the multiple scanning lines to define multiple pixel areas. Each pixel area comprises multiple electrically interconnected first electrodes and multiple electrically interconnected second electrodes. The first electrodes and the second electrodes are disposed on different layers and mutually intersected to define multiple sub-pixel areas. Each sub-pixel area further comprises two protrusion-shaped patterns facing each other on two adjacent first electrodes where the first electrodes and the second electrodes are not overlapped. An angle within a range of 5-20 degrees is defined between the vertex connection direction of the two protrusion-shaped patterns facing each other and the rubbing direction of the first and second alignment films.
