A method of assessing inter-device communication pairing in a surgical setting, may include transmitting, by a first intelligent medical device, wireless communication data within the surgical setting, receiving, by a second intelligent medical device, the wireless communication data from the first intelligent medical device, determining, by the second intelligent medical device, communication pairing data indicative of an inter-device communication pairing of the second intelligent medical device with the first intelligent medical device, transmitting, by the second intelligent medical device, the communication pairing data to a modular control tower, and displaying, by the modular control tower on a display device, an augmented reality display comprising one or more virtual objects indicative of the inter-device communication pairing. An interactive surgical system may include multiple intelligent medical devices and displays which can form communication pairs in this manner.

The control system is configured to drive the firing member from the unfired position toward the fired position with the firing system, detect a force to fire the firing member toward the fired position, predict a future force to fire the firing member, based on the detected force to fire, and dynamically adjust a firing algorithm of the firing system, based on the prediction.

The articulation driver is to rotate the end effector about the articulation joint and comprises first teeth. The cam is to engage the cam surface of the articulation lock and rotate the articulation lock toward the second position based on the closure tube moving toward a distal position.

Additionally, or alternatively, the method may include determining that the first and second electrodes are no longer shorted after the blending step, sensing an electrical parameter of tissue grasped within jaws of the end effector, and determining an energy sealing and cutting procedure based on the sensed electrical parameter of the tissue.

Each well can surround at least one staple cavity and/or can extend between at least two staple cavities.
