Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide locking systems and/or retention mechanisms for an implement holster (such as a handgun holster, for example). Additionally, an implement holster having one or more locking systems and/or retention mechanisms is also described. Locking systems and retention mechanisms may be used individually with a holster or combined for multi-level security of the implement. The one or more locking systems can provide obstruction to the removal of the implement from the holster until intentionally unlocked by the user. Locking systems include hood locks, ejection port locks, and sight covers. Adjustable retention mechanisms can provide a desired retention of the implement while holstered, retaining the implement until a sufficient force is applied to remove the implement.

Duty holster

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a thigh mount assembly, to mount and to support an implement (such as a handgun, for example), an implement holster (such as a handgun holster or shell, for example), or the like, along with one or more accessories (duty pouches such as magazine carriers, a baton holder, a pepper spray canister, flashlight, or other carriers or accessories, for example) in a variety of configurations while worn on a person. Alternately, the thigh mount assembly may be used as a support for additional accessories (e.g., weapons, tools, instruments, supplies, etc.) as desired, such as accessories that are desired to be carried on the person. The assembly includes one or more removable or permanent attachment devices that may be used to temporarily or permanently attach the one or more accessories, as well as multiple attachment points that may also be used in like manner.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a belt for an implement holster comprising multiple stacked layers, including reinforcement layers enclosed within outer layers of the belt. The construction of the belt allows the belt to be worn with garments that do not necessarily include belt loops, such as active wear and women's formal wear. An implement holster may be coupled to the belt, using one or more clip loops, to form an active carry holster assembly.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a spline attachment assembly to mount and to support an implement (such as a handgun, for example) or an implement holster (such as a handgun holster, for example), or the like, in a variety of configurations. The spline attachment assembly includes a base having a receiver and a post having a shaft, the shaft arranged to be inserted into the receiver to removably couple the post to the base.

A pocket holster assembly is used to support and to carry an implement in a user's pocket. The pocket holster assembly includes a hook catch arranged to catch on the user's pocket to prevent the pocket holster assembly from being removed from the pocket with the implement. A concealer hook camouflages the shape of the pocket holster and the implement while in the pocket.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a holster mount assembly, to mount and to support an implement (such as a handgun, for example) or an implement holster (such as a handgun holster or shell, for example), or the like, in a variety of configurations. The holster mount assembly is arranged to be worn on a user's person, clothing, or gear (backpacks, gear packs, accessories, straps, belts, etc.), for example, for temporarily and safely carrying the implement, while making the implement easily accessible to the user. In various embodiments, the holster mount assembly is comprised of two primary components, where one of the two components is coupled to the implement or implement holster.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a holster lock assembly, which may be used with a carrier or a holster for an implement in a variety of configurations. The holster lock is arranged to be attached to the holster for temporarily and safely locking the implement within the holster, while making the implement easily accessible to the user. The holster lock includes an actuator arm and a locking post. The locking post is arranged to capture a portion of the implement or release the portion of the implement, based on a position of the actuator arm.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a holster mount assembly, to mount and to support an implement or an implement holster, or the like, in a variety of configurations on a personal or tactical accessory. The holster mount assembly includes at least a base, a grip plate, and a latch plate. The latch plate is arranged to engage the grip plate to compress the base and the grip plate onto a portion of the personal or tactical accessory.

The ankle holster assembly includes a base having a receiver and a post having a shaft, the shaft arranged to be inserted into the receiver to removably couple the post to the base.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a convertible implement holster (such as a handgun holster, for example) comprising a multi-part shell. The convertible holster system allows a user to convert a holster into multiple configurations, including a full-shell configuration and a half-shell configuration, for various carry options. The holster may be interchangeably coupled to various attachment means (e.g., paddle, backer, modular coupler, strap, belt, etc.) for wearing or carrying the holster in the multiple configurations.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a modular carrier for a tactical implement or for an accessory to a weapon, tool, or other implement, for example. The modular carrier comprises first and second shell components to at least partially encase the accessory. The first and second shell components are adjustably attached using at least one attachment member on each of the first and second shell components, to form an enclosure. At least one adjustable retention component may be used with the attachment members to adjust the retention of the enclosure.
