When a module controller of a battery system detects an abnormality of a battery module, the module controller selects the battery module without stopping the battery module. After that, the module controller compares a current value of a current supplied to a load, with a total value of rated currents of all battery modules that are normal and that are supplying power to the load. When the current value of the current supplied to the load is greater than the total value of the rated currents of the battery modules, the module controller performs a control to stop all the battery modules. When the current value of the current supplied to the load is less than or equal to the total value of the rated currents of all the battery modules that are supplying power to the load, the module controller performs a control to stop the abnormal battery module and not to stop the normal battery modules.

The method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic electronic component comprises a step of forming the internal electrodes on single major surfaces of the ceramic green sheets by a thin film forming method, a step of electrochemically etching the opposite side surfaces (1a', 1b) of the sintered body (1) for forming gap regions between the internal electrodes and those of the external electrodes which must not be electrically connected with the internal electrodes and a step of filling up clearance portions (A) defined by dissolution/removing of the internal electrodes by the etching with an insulating material.

A capacitor array in which a plurality of inner electrodes are formed so as to be overlapped with each other in the thickness direction while being separated by a ceramic layer in a ceramic sintered body to construct a plurality of capacitor units, and the plurality of capacitor units are separated from each other by a layer having a lower dielectric constant than that of ceramics composing the sintered body.
