A color measuring apparatus includes an opening portion that is provided in a bottom portion of the apparatus and takes light from a measurement target into the apparatus, an incident light processing unit that processes light that enters the apparatus through the opening portion, a housing that covers an apparatus internal unit including the incident light processing unit, at least one protrusion member that is configured to switch between a first state in which the protrusion member protrudes from a bottom surface of the housing and a second state in which the protrusion member does not protrude from the bottom surface of the housing, and at least one pressing member that presses the protrusion member in a protruding direction from the bottom surface of the housing.

Color measuring apparatus

A recording apparatus includes: a feeding unit that feeds a medium placed on a medium placing unit located on a back side (&#x2212;Y) of the apparatus; a transport unit that transports the medium fed from the feeding unit; a recording unit that performs recording on the medium transported from the transport unit; a reverse path that transports the medium in a reverse direction after recording is performed by the recording unit to turn over the medium; and a feed driving motor that drives the feeding unit, wherein the feed driving motor is disposed above the reverse path.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes a return member switchable between a first orientation in which a portion of the return member overlaps a feed roller in a side view of a medium feeding path and a second orientation in which the return member is turned toward a downstream side in a medium feeding direction and does not overlap the feed roller. The return member changes an orientation thereof from the second orientation to the first orientation, thereby returning a medium to an upstream side in the medium feeding direction. When a transport roller disposed downstream of the feed roller is driven in reverse to return the medium to the upstream side and position the medium at a recording start position, the return member takes a third orientation in which the return member is raised toward the upstream side further than in the first orientation.

A recording apparatus includes a medium container to store a medium, feeding rollers to be switched between a feeding state in which the feeding rollers are in contact with the medium and a separated state in which the feeding rollers are separated from the medium, a reversing path for reversing the medium that has been fed from the medium container, a recorder to perform recording on the medium that has been reversed by the reversing path, a back-feed path for introducing the medium that has been fed in the reverse direction from the recording region in which recording has been performed by the recorder toward the reversing path, and a nip roller configured to nip the medium within the back-feed path. At least a portion of the feeding rollers that are in the separated state overlaps the nip roller in the direction of the height of the recording apparatus.

A printer includes an apparatus main body including a recording head, and a duplexing unit configured to be removable with respect to the apparatus main body and forming a reverse transport path in which a sheet fed from the recording head side is reversed. The sheet width (for example, width of A4 short side) able to be transported to a region opposing the recording head through the reverse transport path is smaller than the width (for example, width of A4 long side) of the manual supply path, and in a case where the sheet on which recording is performed warps in the width direction, the extent of the warping is restricted to a predetermined range.

A printer includes a first sensor configured to identify a section to be identified of a movable tray. A computer in the printer drives a motor in a direction where the movable tray heads to a supplying position and stops driving the motor when an impact, where the drive load on the motor exceeds a threshold due to the movable tray hitting a separating mechanism which is at the supplying position, is detected. In addition, the computer drives the motor in a direction where the movable tray heads to a setting position, and stops driving the motor and arranges the movable tray at the setting position when the first sensor is on due to the section to be identified being identified.

Printing apparatus

A lower level tray has a pair of protruding sections on both end sides in a width direction at tip ends in an insertion direction. Arrangement spaces are provided on both sides which interpose the lower level tray, which is in a mounting position in an apparatus body, in the width direction. A holding mechanism of a supply mechanism configured to be operated by engaging with a first protruding section while the lower level tray is mounted and be released from operating due to terminating the engaging with the first protruding section while the lower level tray is taken out, is arranged in one of the arrangement spaces. A circuit board connected through a wiring with a second sensor which is configured to detect mounting and taking out of the lower level tray using the second protruding section as the target for identification is arranged in the other arrangement space.

A printer includes a lower tray and an upper tray disposed above the lower tray. An optical sensor which detects the presence or absence of a sheet is disposed above the upper tray. The optical sensor is disposed in a roller support member which supports a feeding roller and serves as a swingable swing member. A distance between the optical sensor and the sheet is adjusted by swing of the roller support member according to the number of sheets.

Recording apparatus and medium feeding device

A printer includes a device main body having a recording head, and a double-sided printing unit that forms an inverting transport path for inverting a medium fed from the side on which the recording head is located and that is configured to be mountable in and removable from the device main body. A photosensor that detects paper within the double-sided printing unit when the double-sided printing unit is mounted in the device main body detects the paper within the double-sided printing unit via an opening provided in an upper area of the double-sided printing unit.

Recording device

A recording medium feeding device includes a lower stage side tray which stores a recording medium, an upper stage side tray which is provided above the lower stage side tray and stores the recording medium, a first separation inclined surface which is opposite to a tip of the recording medium which is stored in the lower stage side tray and the upper stage side tray and extends along a feed path of the recording medium, and a second separation inclined surface in which a trailing end in the feed path is positioned below a bottom surface of the upper stage side tray, and thus, which is opposite to the tip of the recording medium which is stored in the lower stage side tray and is not opposite to the tip of the recording medium which is stored in the upper stage side tray.
