The object of the present invention is to provide a composite apparatus in which a meter for a vehicle and an obstacle alarm device for a vehicle share a constituting means common to the meter and the obstacle alarm device. The meter and the obstacle alarm device share a buzzer-driving circuit ( ) of and a buzzer ( ).

Composite device for vehicle

An indicating instrument includes a generally straight illumination lamp or cold cathode fluorescent lamp and a light conducting plate which are disposed on the back of a dial plate. The dial plate has plurality of trans-illuminous gauge or meter patterns. The cold cathode fluorescent lamp is disposed longitudinally at an upper side of the light conducting plate to guide the light of the lamp to the trans-illuminous gauge or meter patterns.

Indicating instrument

A zero-position stopper to stop the pointer when it is returned to the zero position and a maximum-position stopper to stop the pointer when it is located at the maximum position are provided. A microcomputer generates a zero-start signal when an ignition switch is turned on so that pointer moves from the zero position and engages the maximum position stopper, and thereafter generates a zero-return signal so that the pointer returns to the zero-position stopper. When the pointer engages the zero-position stopper, the computer does not generate a control signal.

Indicating instrument having stepping motor

A female connector to be coupled with a male connector of an electric device and an external circuit board. The female connector is composed of a case member to be inserted into a coupling hole of the circuit board, a pedestal portion extending outward from the case member in a direction perpendicular thereto, a plurality of terminal members disposed in the case member, and at least a pair of projection members extending from opposite sides of the pedestal portion toward the coupling hole of the circuit board. The case members have a plurality of parallel slits, and the pedestal member has a plurality of parallel grooves connected to the slits. The terminal member has a base portion inserted in one of the grooves, a first terminal portion inserted to one of the slits and a second terminal portion extending from the base portion toward the external circuit board. The first and second terminal portions are disposed in contact with terminal plates of the electric device and the circuit board under pressure respectively when the female connector is coupled with the male connector.
