In addition to a first fuel gas heater utilizing the heated water from the outlet of an economizer of a heat recovery steam boiler, there is provided a second fuel gas heater utilizing as the heat source the bleed air of a compressor of a gas turbine. A control device opens a bleed air control valve of the piping for supplying bleed air to the second fuel gas heater at the time of starting the gas turbine combined cycle system to heat a fuel gas by the bleed air.

A casting mold to cast a TiAl alloy includes a casting mold body formed into a bottomed shape and provided with a cavity. The casting mold body includes a reaction-resistant layer provided on the cavity side, formed from a refractory material containing at least one of cerium oxide, yttrium oxide, and zirconium oxide and a back-up layer formed on the reaction-resistant layer. The back-up layer includes a weakening layer formed from a refractory material including a silica material in a range from 80% by mass to 100% by mass inclusive, the silica material containing cristobalite in a range from 26% by mass to 34% by mass inclusive and the rest being fused silica, the weakening layer being designed to reduce casting mold strength and a shape-retention layer formed from a refractory material.

A method of manufacturing a Ni alloy casting, includes a casting step of casting molten Ni alloy by pouring the molten Ni alloy into a cavity of a mold, a columnar grain forming step of forming columnar grain by solidifying the molten Ni alloy while drawing the mold, in which the molten Ni alloy has been poured, at a drawing speed of 100 mm/hour or more but 400 mm/hour or less with a temperature gradient provided to a solid-liquid interface, and an equiaxed grain forming step of forming equiaxed grain by solidifying the molten Ni alloy while drawing the mold at a drawing speed of 1000 mm/minute or more continuously after the columnar grain forming step.

Method of manufacturing Ni alloy casting and Ni alloy casting

A combustor is capable of ignition and flame propagation at low fuel concentrations for gas or liquid fuel. Combustors are disposed annularly along an outer peripheral portion of a casing of a turbine. A combustion chamber burns fuel and air to generate a combustion gas. A diffusion burner is disposed upstream of the combustion chamber; and a plurality of premix burners are disposed around the diffusion burner. Cross fire tubes provide communication between combustion chambers of combustors adjacent to each other. A cross fire tube connected to a combustor adjacent to a first side in the circumferential direction of the casing is disposed so as to have a central axis passing over a premix burner as viewed from the combustion chamber and another cross fire tube connected to the combustor adjacent to a second side is disposed so as to have a central axis passing between two premix burners.

An apparatus for controlling a gas turbine combustor having a diffusion combustion burner and a premix combustion burner comprising: a rotating speed detector for detecting a rotating speed of gas turbine, a recorder for recording the detected value of the rotating speed of gas turbine detected by the rotating speed detector, an arithmetic unit for calculating a change with time of the rotating speed of gas turbine in accordance with details of the detected value of the rotating speed of gas turbine recorded in the recorder, and a fuel control unit for judging a starting situation of reduction in the rotating speed of gas turbine on the basis of the change with time of the rotating speed of gas turbine calculated by the arithmetic unit and controlling respectively a fuel flow rate for the diffusion combustion burner to be fed to the diffusion combustion burner installed in the gas turbine combustor and a fuel flow rate for the premix combustion to be fed to the premix combustion burner.

Method and apparatus for controlling gas turbine combustor

A gas turbine combustor is provided that can stably burn two kinds of gas fuels having different heating values by means of the same burner. In the gas turbine combustor that includes a combustion chamber for mixing fuel and air for combustion and a burner, disposed upstream of the combustion chamber, for jetting fuel and air into the combustion chamber and holding flames, the burner has a first swirler including a plurality of fuel holes and of air holes circumferentially alternately and a second swirler including a plurality of holes through which to jet fuel or air, the second swirler is disposed on the outer circumference of the first swirler, and each of the holes of the second swirler is greater in width than each of the air holes of the first swirler.

A vehicle lighting unit can effectively utilize both the portions of the reflector divided by the plane passing through the optical axis even when a light emitting element with directionality like an LED is employed as well as can be provided with an enhanced aesthetic feature. The vehicle lighting unit can include a reflector having, as a front surface, a concave reflecting surface formed on the basis of a revolved parabolic surface with respect to an optical axis serving as a rotational symmetric axis; a reflecting plate disposed along the optical axis in front of the reflecting surface and having a rear edge disposed at or near the focal point of the reflecting surface so as to vertically divide a space in front of the reflecting surface into two regions; a light emitting element disposed in the upper region than the reflecting plate and in front of the focal point, directed to the focal point; and a condenser lens disposed between the light emitting element and the focal point, configured to collect light emitted from the light emitting element to a position at or near the focal point.

Vehicle lighting unit

A highly-reliable combustor is provided that allows flash back of flame into a premixer to be suppressed. The combustor has a mixing chamber forming memberthat forms a mixing chamber thereinside. The mixing chamber includes a first mixing chamberbroadening toward a downstream side. The memberincludes air introduction holesformed in a plurality of rows in an axial direction, with the air introduction holes being arranged plurally in a circumferential direction of the mixing chamber. The memberincludes a fuel ejection holeprovided in a wall surface which forms the air introduction hole. The air introduction holesare circumferentially eccentrically installed. The air introduction holeslocated in the most upstream row are more inclined toward the downstream side than the air introduction holeslocated in the rows other than the most upstream row.

Combustor

A vehicle headlight utilizes a rotationally asymmetric projection lens with its light emitting surface inclined with respect to the optical axis thereof, whereby the light emitted from the light source and projected forward through the light emitting surface of the projection lens is diffused substantially uniformly with respect to the optical axis of the projection lens, for example, uniform substantially in the right and left directions and/or the upper and lower directions. This can be achieved by designing the reflecting surface to have its optical axis inclined with respect to the optical axis of the projection lens by a predetermined angle so that light emitted from the light source and projected forward through the light emitting surface of the projection lens is made uniform with respect to the optical axis of the projection lens (for example, uniform substantially in the right and left directions and/or the upper and lower directions).

Vehicle headlight

A vehicle lighting unit can be capable of illuminating pedestrians and the like present in lateral areas above a horizontal line while suppressing generation of glare to oncoming or preceding vehicles. A vehicle lighting unit can also be capable of forming both a basic light distribution pattern and an overhead light distribution pattern without invading an area for reflecting light for forming a basic light distribution pattern. The vehicle lighting unit can include a projector lens disposed on an optical axis, a light source disposed behind a rear-side focal point of the projector lens, a reflecting surface configured to reflect light emitted from the light source so that the light is directed toward the optical axis, and a shade disposed between the projector lens and the light source. The shade can be configured to shield part of light emitted from the light source and reflected by the reflecting surface.

A vehicle lighting unit can be configured to allow the brightnesses of light observed through vertically arranged lenses to substantially match when the lenses are viewed from a certain viewpoint in front of the vehicle. The vehicle lighting unit can include: a first lens on a first upper optical axis; a second lens on a second lower optical axis; a semiconductor light-emitting device; a first revolved ellipsoidal reflector; a shade; a second revolved ellipsoidal reflector; and a third reflector. The third reflector is inclined at an inclination angle with respect to the horizontal plane adjusted such that light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting device, reflected by the second reflector, focused at a second focal point of the second reflector, reflected by the third reflector, and passing through the second lens is directed in a direction at a predetermined upward angle with respect to the horizontal plane.

A gas turbine combustor includes a burner disposed upstream of the combustion chamber for supplying a gas and air to an interior of the combustion chamber to hold a flame. The burner is provided with a first swirler in which a gas hole and an air hole are alternately formed in a circumferential direction. A first gas is supplied to the gas hole in the first swirler and air is supplied to the air hole. A swiveling flow path is formed in the gas hole and the air hole in the burner to swivel the gas and the air and supply the gas and the air to the interior of the combustion chamber, a second gas hole is formed in the swiveling flow path in at least one of the air hole and the gas hole, and a second gas is supplied through the second gas hole.

A vehicle lighting unit is capable of improving the design freedom (such as that for forming a high-beam light distribution pattern) and to allow an observer to visually recognize the employed projection lens even when including a plurality of lens portions (including a plurality of rear-side focal points) as a single lens with high aesthetic feature.

A vehicle lighting unit can include a first lens and a second lens disposed below the first lens, and a first semiconductor light-emitting device disposed substantially at a vehicle rear-side focal point of the first lens. Light emitted from the first semiconductor light-emitting device in a narrow angle direction can be incident on the first lens. A first reflector can be disposed diagonally forward and downward with respect to the first semiconductor light-emitting device such that light emitted from the first semiconductor light-emitting device in a wide angle direction is incident thereon and reflected diagonally rearward and downward. The light emitted in the narrow angle direction and incident on the first lens having a luminous intensity higher than the light emitted in the wide angle direction. A second reflector can be disposed diagonally rearward and downward with respect to the first reflector.

A vehicle light can maintain its maximum light intensity in its light distribution pattern while improving the brightness sense at a farther area. The vehicle light can be provided in a front portion of a vehicle body, for forming a road surface light distribution pattern on a road surface in front of the vehicle body. The road surface can include at least a farther area, an intermediate area, and a nearby area. The road surface light distribution pattern can include a plurality of light source images each extending in a horizontal direction, the respective light source images being projected to the corresponding farther area, intermediate area and nearby area, respectively, without striding across the adjacent areas. The vehicle light can include an LED light source having a rectangular light emission surface with a short side of 0.6 to 0.8 mm, and an optical system configured to project the plurality of light source images each extending in the horizontal direction to the corresponding farther area, intermediate area and nearby area, respectively, without striding across the adjacent areas, thereby optimizing the road surface illuminance in each of the farther area, intermediate area and nearby area.
