According to a technique disclosed herein, provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst, which both suppresses OSC when using a new vehicle and maintains OSC during life cycles. The exhaust gas purification catalyst disclosed herein is an exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a substrate, and a catalyst coated layer formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein the catalyst coated layer contains an OSC material having an oxygen storage capacity. The catalyst coated layer includes a Rh layer mainly containing Rh as a catalyst metal, and a Pd/Pt layer mainly containing Pd and/or Pt as a catalyst metal. At least a portion of the Pd/Pt layer in the catalyst coated layer contains, as the OSC material, a low specific surface area OSC material, including a ceria-zirconia composite oxide and having a specific surface area of 40 m/g or more and 60 m/g or less.

Exhaust gas purification catalyst

Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst that includes a base material containing a silicon-silicon carbide composite material and a catalyst layer containing a barium component and that has excellent high-temperature durability of oxygen storage capacity. The exhaust gas purification catalyst disclosed here includes a base material and a catalyst layer in contact with the base material. The base material contains a silicon-silicon carbide composite material. The catalyst layer contains a platinum-group catalyst, a barium component, and an oxygen storage material. The barium component is one material selected from the group consisting of barium and a barium compound. The barium component is present on at least a surface of the oxygen storage material. The barium component has an average particle size of 100 nm or more and 350 nm or less.

An exhaust gas purification catalyst device having a substrate, a first catalyst coating layer on the substrate, and a second catalyst coating layer on the first catalyst coating layer. The first catalyst coating layer includes inorganic oxide particles, palladium carried on the inorganic oxide particles, and a barium compound. The second catalyst coating layer includes alumina particles and rhodium carried by the alumina particles. The ratio (M/M) between the mass (M) of barium in the first catalyst coating layer and the mass (M) of rhodium in the second catalyst coating layer is 5.0-60.0 inclusive.

Exhaust gas purification catalyst device

An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst which can exhibit sufficient purification performance even under a high Ga condition. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst comprising a substrate and a catalyst coating layer formed on the substrate, wherein the catalyst coating layer comprises catalyst particles, the catalyst coating layer having an upstream region extending by 40 to 60% of the entire length of the substrate from an upstream end of the catalyst in the direction of an exhaust gas flow and a downstream region corresponding to the remainder portion of the catalyst coating layer, the composition of the catalyst particle of the upstream region being different from that of the downstream region. The downstream region in the direction of an exhaust gas flow has a structure where a void is included in a large number, and furthermore high-aspect-ratio pores having an aspect ratio of 5 or more account for a certain percentage or more of the whole volume of voids. Thus, the exhaust gas purification catalyst exhibits enhanced purification performance.

The problem of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst which can exhibit sufficient purification performance under a high Ga condition while having a resistance to stress such as high-temperature and poisonous substances. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst comprising two or more catalyst coating layers on a substrate, wherein a lower catalyst coating layer that is present lower with respect to an uppermost catalyst coating layer has a structure where a large number of voids are included and high-aspect-ratio pores having an aspect ratio of 5 or more account for a certain proportion or more of the whole volume of voids, thereby to improve gas diffusivity in the lower catalyst coating layer.

The damper device includes the shaft, the large diameter portion housing and the impact absorbing member. When the large diameter portion does not apply an impact force on the flange portion, the elastic body is disposed at one of the inner peripheral surface of the housing and the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion having a gap and when the large diameter portion applies the impact force on the flange portion, the elastic body is deformed in an axial direction to be deformed and is brought into contact with all of the inner peripheral surface of the housing, the restricting surface, the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion and the flange portion. The impact receiving member is restricted from a relative movement relative to the housing by the deformed elastic body and the impact receiving member keeps a non-contact state with the housing.

Damper device and steering device

An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst which can exhibit high durability and warm-up performance. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst comprising a substrate and a catalyst coating layer formed on the substrate, wherein the catalyst coating layer comprises catalyst particles, the catalyst coating layer having an upstream region extending by 40 to 60% of the entire length of the substrate from an upstream end of the catalyst in the direction of an exhaust gas flow and a downstream region corresponding to the remainder portion of the catalyst coating layer, the composition of the catalyst particle of the upstream region being different from that of the downstream region. The upstream region in the direction of an exhaust gas flow has a structure where a void is included in a large number, and furthermore high-aspect-ratio pores having an aspect ratio of 5 or more account for a certain percentage or more of the whole volume of voids. Thus, the exhaust gas purification catalyst exhibits enhanced purification performance.

The exemplary embodiments relate to an exhaust gas purification catalyst that is excellent in terms of HC purification capacity and warm-up performance. Such exhaust gas purification catalyst comprises a substrate and a catalyst coating layer formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein the catalyst coating layer comprises an upper and lower layer comprising a lower layer being closer to the surface of the substrate and an upper layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate, the upper layer of the catalyst coating layer comprises Rh, Pd, and a carrier, the upper layer of the catalyst coating layer comprises an uppermost surface Pd layer having a Pd concentration relatively higher than that in any other portion in the upper layer within an area extending over a length of 20 mm or more from one end on the upstream side in the downstream direction on the surface of the upper layer, the lower layer of the catalyst coating layer comprises at least one noble metal selected from Pd and Pt and a carrier, and 60% or more of Pd by mass in the uppermost surface Pd layer exists in a layer up to 50% of the upper layer in a thickness direction from the surface of the uppermost surface Pd layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate.

When the amount of coating is increased in a two-layer catalyst or the like containing two noble metals in respective different layers, gas diffusivity in the catalyst and use efficiency of a catalytic active site are reduced to thereby reduce purification performance. In view of this, an organic fiber having a predetermined shape is used as a pore-forming material in formation of an uppermost catalyst coating layer of a multi-layer catalyst, to thereby form an uppermost catalyst coating layer having a high-aspect-ratio pore excellent in connectivity and therefore excellent gas diffusivity.

An exhaust gas purification device of the present invention is provided with: a substrate of wall flow structure having an inlet cell, an outlet cell and a porous partition wall; an upstream catalyst layer, provided inside the partition wall and disposed in an upstream portion of the substrate including an exhaust gas inflow end section; and a downstream catalyst layer, provided inside the partition wall and disposed in a downstream portion of the substrate including an exhaust gas outflow end section. The upstream catalyst layer and the downstream catalyst layer each contain a carrier and at least one noble metal from among Pt, Pd and Rh, supported on the carrier. The noble metal in the upstream catalyst layer and the noble metal in the downstream catalyst layer are different from each other.

Exhaust gas purification device

The present invention is directed to address the following problem: in an exhaust gas purification catalyst comprising a dual catalyst of a combination of a startup catalyst and an underfloor catalyst, reduction in the gas diffusivity of the underfloor catalyst results in reduction in the use efficiency of a catalytic active site, resulting in reduction in purification performance. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst comprising a dual catalyst of a combination of a startup catalyst and an underfloor catalyst having a catalyst coating where a large number of voids are included, wherein high-aspect-ratio pores having an aspect ratio of 5 or more account for a certain rate or more of the whole volume of the voids, to thereby enhance the purification performance of the catalyst.

An exhaust gas purification catalyst, excellent in the NOx purification capacity and the HC purification capacity, includes a substrate and a catalyst coating layer formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein the catalyst coating layer comprises the upper and lower layer including a lower layer being closer to the surface of the substrate and an upper layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate. The upper layer of the catalyst coating layer includes Rh, Pd, and a carrier. The lower layer of the catalyst coating layer includes at least one noble metal selected from Pd and Pt and a carrier. 65% by mass or more of Pd in the upper layer exists in a layer up to 50% of the upper layer in a thickness direction from the surface of the upper layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate. The ratio of Pd to Rh by mass (Pd/Rh) is 0.5 to 7.0 in the upper layer.

A exhaust gas purification apparatus is provided with; a substrate having a wall-flow structure and including entry-side cells, exit-side cells, and a porous partition; a first catalyst region formed in small diameter pores having relatively small pore diameters among internal pores in the partition; and a second catalyst region formed in large diameter pores having relatively large pore diameters among the internal pores in the partition. The first catalyst region contains a support and any one or two species of precious metal selected from Pt, Pd, and Rh loaded on the support, while the second catalyst region contains a support and any one or two species of precious metal selected from Pt, Pd, and Rh loaded on the support and other than at least the precious metal present in the first catalyst region.

Exhaust gas purification apparatus

The exhaust gas purification device is provided with a wall flow structure substrate that has an entry-side cell, an exit-side cell and a porous partition, first catalyst parts which are formed in small pores having a relatively small pore diameter among internal pores in the partition, and second catalyst parts which are formed in large pores having a relatively large pore diameter among the internal pores in the partition. The first catalyst parts and the second catalyst parts each contain a carrier and at least one type of noble metal from among Pt, Pd and Rh supported on the carrier. The noble metal content in the first catalyst parts is smaller than the noble metal content in the second catalyst parts per 1 liter of substrate volume.

The exhaust gas purification device provided with a particulate filter disposed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and capturing particulate matter in exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine. The particulate filter is provided with a wall-flow part having an inlet-side cell that is open only at an end on an exhaust gas inflow side, an outlet-side cell that is adjacent to this inlet-side cell and is open only at an end on an exhaust gas outflow side, and a porous wall that partitions the inlet-side cell from the outlet-side cell, and is also provided with a straight-flow part having a through cell that penetrates the filter in an axial direction thereof and is open at the end on the exhaust gas inflow side as well as the end on the exhaust gas outflow side.
