The present invention relates to a coating composition comprising 2-100 parts by weight of a fluororesin, 5-100 parts by weight of a silicone oil, and a solvent to 100 parts of a urethane prepolymer, said urethane prepolymer comprising a polyol, castor oil polyol, and a polyisocyanate, and said coating composition being suitable for use as a coating for rubber products such as weather strips for cars, glass weather strips, synthetic resin products, and others.

Coating composition

The present invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polyester-polyurethane having an isocyanate group (--NCO) and 0.002-20 parts by weight of a halogenating agent, suitably used for the adhesion of polyolefin materials which are difficult to glue, such as car molding and base materials for electrostatic flocked products, the adhesion of trimming, the adhesion of rubber products and others.

Adhesive composition

The present invention provides adhesive compositions with strong and firm adhesion to various kinds of synthetic rubbers including polyolefin-type vulcanized rubbers and to various kinds of synthetic resins including polyolefin-type synthetic resins and vinyl chloride resins. The present adhesive compositions comprise a mixture of a chlorinated rubber, an acrylic polymer, a Lewis acid and an organic solvent or a mixture of a chlorinated rubber, an acrylic polymer, a terminal functional group-containing hydrocarbon-type polymer and an organic solvent.

Adhesive compositions

This invention concerns a laminate in which a polyolefin polymer and a polar polymer are bonded by means of an adhesive layer, which comprises a polyolefin polymer, a polar polymer and an adhesive layer disposed between both of polymers for bonding them, in which the adhesive layer comprises: any one of adhesives selected from the group consisting of; a mixture of rubber and polyisocyanate and/or halogen compound; and a mixture of chlorinated polyolefin at 5-60% of chlorination degree, polyisocyanate and/or halogen compound coated on the side of the polyolefin polymer: and an adhesive composed of polyurethane or a mixture of polyurethane and polyisocyanate coated on the side of the polar polymer.

Laminates

The rubber composition of the present invention comprises rubbers and halogen compounds. As the rubbers, vulcanized or unvulcanized rubbers are employed. The vulcanized rubber compositions are obtained by applying unvulcanized rubbers together with the halogen compounds, vulcanizing agents and vulcanization accelerators to subjects to be coated and then heating them. These rubber compositions all exhibit a strong adhesive force to various rubbers and therefore, they are useful as adhesives or subbing agents for various rubbers including vulcanized polyolefin rubbers.

Rubber composition

This invention concerns a spray can. The spray can comprises (a) a water-repellent surface treating agent composed of a polyorganosiloxane represented by the general formula, HO[R.sub.2 SiO].sub.n H wherein R denotes a monovalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group and n a numeral of the value of 5000 to 100,000, and possessed of hydroxyl groups one each at the opposite terminals thereof and a silane coupling agent, (b) a silicone oil as a freezing property improving agent, (c) .gamma.-aminopropyl triethoxy silane as a silane coupling agent, (d) dibutyl tin dilaurate as a catalyst, (e) a mixed solvent consisting of 1,1,1-trichloroethane and 1,1,1-trichloroethylene and used for the dissolution of the composition of the components (a) through (d) mentioned above, (f) Freon R-12 as a solvent capable of assuming a gaseous state at room temperature under atmospheric pressure and used for addition to the aforementioned mixed solvent, and (g) a can body to be filled with the components (a) through (f) mentioned above.

Spray can

There is provided an adhesive composition to increase the bond strength of coating material and adhesive to be applied to vulcanized polyolefin rubber or polyolefin resin. It comprises a hydrocarbon polymer, a halogenating agent to be incorporated in said hydrocarbon polymer, and a solvent in which are dissolved said hydrocarbon polymer and halogenating agent. The hydrocarbon polymer is any one of a polymer having a saturated or partly saturated main chain with at least one terminal hydroxyl group, a polymer having a saturated or partly saturated main chain with a carboxyl group, a functional hydrocarbon polymer having a saturated aliphatic ring, and a polymer having polyerizable unsaturated groups. The halogenating agent is an alkyl hypohalide, a compound having the ##STR1## bond (where X is a halogen) in the molecule, or a hypohalogenite.

A side mold is disclosed which comprises a mold proper formed of a synthetic resin compound incorporating a plasticizer, a one-faced adhesive tape, and a curing adhesive agent containing a polar atomic group, with the one-faced adhesive tape joined fast to the mold proper through the medium of the curing type adhesive agent. Owing to the existence of the curing type adhesive agent layer containing the polar atomic group in the boundary between the rear side of the mold proper and the adhesive tape, even when the plasticizer in the mold proper exudes from the mold proper into the aforementined boundary, it is not allowed to form a layer of its own in the boundary and the otherwise inevitable degradation of the cohesive force of the aforementioned adhesive agent layer is curbed. Thus, sufficient adhesive strength is retained for a long time between the rear side of the mold proper and the adhesive tape.

Side mold

A structure for a synthetic resin-made molding for a bodies, bumpers, etc. of automobiles is adhered via a double-coated adhesive tape. Adhesives comprising chloroprene rubbers, isobutylene-isoprene rubbers and phenolic resins and primers comprising a mixture of at least one polymer selected from polyacrylic acid derivatives and polymethacrylic acid derivatives and chloroprene rubbers are coated and formed between the molding and the tape.

Structure for mounting molding

The present invention relates to a structure for mounting a molding. The structure for mounting a molding comprises a body to be mounted, a resin molding adhered to the body via a sponge, a primer coated between the resin molding and the sponge, the primer comprising a mixture of chloroprene rubber and a polymer of a methacrylic acid derivative and/or an acrylic acid derivative or a polymer of the monomer, and a finish coat applied onto the surface of the primer.

An electrostatic flocking product in which flocks are fixed to the surface of a base material through an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer of the electrostatic flocking product is formed by polyurethane prepared by curing a mixture of an isocyanate prepolymer and polyisocyanate, with water, and the polyol raw material for the foregoing isocyanate prepolymer is a mixture of a high polyol as the main component and triethanolamine in a specific mixing ratio. The electrostatic flocking product of this invention has sufficiently high abrasion resistance at the flocked surface and the foregoing water-cured polyurethane for forming the adhesive layer of the electrostatic flocking product of this invention shows good coating workability at the formation of the adhesive layer.
