An electron beam irradiation device includes an electron gun, a housing, and an electron beam emission window. A rod portion of the housing includes a first tubular member, a second tubular member, a cooling gas flow space, and a wall member. The window is provided at an end portion on a distal end side of the first tubular member. The second tubular member surrounds the first tubular member. The cooling gas flow space includes at least a cooling gas flow path provided between an outer wall surface of the first tubular member and an inner wall surface of the second tubular member. The wall member is provided so as to perform partition between an electron beam emission space and the cooling gas flow space. The wall member is provided with a cooling gas ejection hole. The hole has a flow path sectional area smaller than a flow path sectional area of the cooling gas flow path.

Electron beam irradiation device

An electron beam irradiation device includes: an electron beam generation part; a housing part that provides a vacuum space in which the electron beam generation part is accommodated; an electron beam guide part in which a base end side is connected to the housing part and communicates with the vacuum space, in which a tip end side is provided with a long tubular member capable of being inserted into a container via a mouth portion of the container, and in which the electron beams pass through an inside; an electron beam emission window which is provided on the tip end side of the electron beam guide part; and an adjustment part that adjusts a trajectory of the electron beams in the electron beam guide part. The adjustment part is disposed on the base end side of the electron beam guide part on an outside of the vacuum space.

Electron beam irradiation device and electron beam irradiation method

An electron beam generating apparatus () includes an electron gun (), a vacuum container (), a frame material (), and a window material (). The electron gun () has a filament () from which an electron beam (EB) is emitted. The vacuum container () holds the filament (). The frame material () has an electron passing hole () through which the electron beam (EB) passes, and is detachably attached to the vacuum container (). The window material () is bonded (brazed) to the frame material () so as to airtightly stop up the electron passing hole (), and allows the electron beam (EB) to penetrate therethrough.

Electron beam generating apparatus

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube capable of efficiently extracting X-rays of low energy and provided with a structure having excellent durability. The X-ray tube is provided with a silicon foil having a thickness of 3 &#x3bc;m or more but 30 &#x3bc;m or less as a part of a vessel body. The silicon foil is directly or indirectly affixed on the closed vessel in a state that the silicon foil covers the opening provided in the closed vessel, and functions as a transmission window of the closed vessel.

X-ray tube

The present invention relates to an X-ray tube with a structure, by which the charging of an insulating member, disposed inside a container, is effectively prevented to enable stable operation to be secured. This X-ray tube has an electron source that emits electrons, a target that generates X-rays in response to the incidence of the electrons, first and second electrons, each having a side face portion that extends along the direction of incidence of the electrons and forming a predetermined electric field between the electron source and the target, and an insulating support member, for supporting the first and second electrodes, being disposed along the side face portions of the first and second electrodes. The second electrode, of the first and second electrodes, is positioned closest to the target and has an anti-charging edge portion that is positioned at an X-ray generating surface end of the side face portion and that extends toward the exterior of the container so as to cover over the support members from the target.

Electrons emitted from a photocathode in response to incident X-rays are accelerated and focused onto a microchannel plate (MCP). The electrons multiplied by the MCP are converted into a visible light image by a phosphor screen. An envelope tube is curved at a halfway portion, and the electrons are deflected by a deflection coil so as to travel along the curved envelope tube and enter the MCP. Even if X-rays are transmitted from the photocathode, they do not enter the MCP directly and hardly contribute to the background noise. A limiting aperture ring may further be employed to prevent the X-rays reflected by the inside wall of the envelope tube from entering the MCP.
