Provided is a catalyst for amide compound hydrogenation characterized in that rhodium and molybdenum are supported on hydroxyapatite, the catalyst for amide compound hydrogenation providing a catalyst that can promote a reduction reaction that converts an amide compound into an amine compound, can be used under moderate conditions, and has durability that allows repeated use thereof while retaining high activity. Also provided is a method for producing an amine compound, the method being characterized by including bringing an amide compound into contact with the catalyst for amide compound hydrogenation to cause hydrogenation, thereby producing an amine compound.

A tank state estimating method of estimating a state in a tank at a predetermined point in time on a sailing course of an LNG carrier is provided. The LNG carrier carrying LNG stored in the tank as a cargo. The tank state estimating method includes: a first step of acquiring information related to specification of the tank; a second step of acquiring information related to a state in the tank at a start point of a target section on the course; a third step of acquiring information on a predictive value of liquid fluctuation of the LNG in the tank during the section, the predictive value being obtained on a basis of a weather forecasting value during the section and information on the weather forecasting value; and a fourth step of calculating the state in the tank at an end point of the section by thermal transfer calculation based on thermodynamics on a basis of the information acquired in the first to third steps in assuming that a heat input to the tank during the section is used for vaporization of the LNG in the tank.

An optical element includes glass substrates adhered to surfaces of a birefringent material film through an adhesive. The optical element has a coating for moisture-proof. The moisture-proof treatment is performed by applying a mixed solution of a soluble fluorine resin and an ethylenic compound to end surfaces of the glass substrates and the birefringent material film. Otherwise, the optical element is dipped in a solution prepared by mixing a soluble fluorine resin and an ethylenic compound in a predetermined mixing ratio, so as to moisture-proof the end surfaces of the glass substrates and the birefringent material film. The birefringent material film is a phase difference film. The soluble fluorine resin is an amorphous fluorine resin. The ethylenic compound is PTFE.
