The gyro sensor detects an angular velocity of the main body and the main body includes a head portion, a neck portion, and a grip portion in a longitudinal axis direction. An angle formed by a longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that brush bristles of the head portion contact with a brushing site in a dentition with respect to the longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that the brush bristles of the head portion contact with a reference position in the dentition is obtained, based on an output from the gyro sensor. A corresponding point corresponding to the brushing site on an approximate curve that curves corresponding to the dentition is obtained based on the angle, and coordinates of the corresponding point are used as a translational position of the brushing site.

A blood pressure information measurement device cuff includes a wide blood pressure value measurement air bladder wrapped around a fitting area when in a fitted state, and a narrow pulse wave measurement air bladder disposed so as to be closer to the fitting area than the blood pressure value measurement air bladder when in the fitted state, and covered by the blood pressure value measurement air bladder when wrapped around the fitting area. A belt includes a belt main body extending in a long, narrow band. A frame-shaped body is attached to a first belt portion corresponding to a side on an end in a lengthwise direction of the belt main body. Multiple through-holes are formed in alignment in the lengthwise direction in a second belt portion corresponding to a side opposite to the first belt portion in the lengthwise direction of the belt main body. A locking member is included for attachment to a through-hole of the second belt portion so as to protrude from a front surface of the second belt portion. When the belt main body is mounted on the target object, the second belt portion is passed through the frame-shaped body, and the side of the frame-shaped body locks the locking member so as to prevent the second belt portion from coming out of the frame-shaped body.

An electronic blood pressure meter includes a cuff that is to be worn on a measurement area, a piezoelectric pump that adjusts a pressure applied to the cuff, a drive circuit that drives the piezoelectric pump, and a controller that outputs, to the drive circuit, a pulse signal defining a driving timing of the piezoelectric pump. The drive circuit includes a switching circuit for switching a connection relationship between respective voltages applied to both ends of the piezoelectric pump in response to corresponding first and second driving signals, and a signal generation circuit that outputs the first and second driving signals based on the pulse signal outputted from the controller. The signal generation circuit has a signal conditioning circuit that adjusts timings of the first and second driving signals so that the phases of the first and second driving signals do not overlap.

Electronic blood pressure meter

A blood pressure information measurement device includes a main body, including an inflation pump and an exhaust valve, and a cuff, including an air bladder for pulse wave measurement and an air bladder for blood pressure value measurement. The air bladder for pulse wave measurement and the air bladder for blood pressure value measurement are wrapped around a proximal side and a distal side of the upper arm, respectively. A first piping portion connects the air bladder for blood pressure value measurement to the inflation pump and the exhaust valve. A second piping portion branching from the first piping portion connects the air bladder for pulse wave measurement to the first piping portion. The second piping portion includes a 2-port valve that switches between connecting and disconnecting the air bladder for pulse wave measurement and the first piping portion, and a pressure sensor for measuring a pulse wave.

A CPU acquires factor information for a degree of arteriosclerosis, stores a plurality of pseudo blood flow waveforms, generates a waveform estimated as a blood flow waveform by compositing the plurality of pseudo blood flow waveforms based on the factor information, decomposes a pulse waveform into waveforms of an ejected wave and a reflected wave using the pulse waveform and the waveform estimated as the blood flow waveform, and calculates an index of the degree of arteriosclerosis from a relationship between the ejected wave and the reflected wave obtained by decomposing the pulse waveform.

A blood pressure measurement device includes a cuff, a display, a distance sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a CPU. The display displays a positional relationship between the patient's heart and the device, which includes a flat screen. The distance sensor measures a distance between the device and the patient, and detects a subject to be measured on a line perpendicular to the flat screen of the display and measures the distance. The acceleration sensor measures an angle of inclination of the device when mounted on the patient's wrist. The CPU calculates a positional relationship between the patient's heart and the device based on the distance between the device and the subject to be measured, the angle of inclination of the device mounted on the patient's wrist, the length of the patient's forearm and upper arm, and a vertical distance between the patient's shoulder and heart.

A piezoelectric pump is provided with an actuator containing a piezoelectric element and a vibrating sheet; a first diaphragm, positioned opposite the actuator, with a first connecting hole provided therein; a pump chamber formed by the space between the actuator and the first diaphragm; and a second diaphragm positioned opposite the first diaphragm. The part of the second diaphragm opposite the first connecting hole is provided with an opposing wall portion that prevents a fluid that has been introduced into the pump chamber via the first connecting hole from flowing back towards a suction side via the first connecting hole.

A measurement device pressurizes two cuffs in a state in which the cuffs are attached to the distal side and the proximal side of the measurement device, respectively, calculates an AI value or the like based on a pulse wave detected from a change in cuff pressure on the distal side while pressurizing the two cuffs, and determines that avascularization on the distal side has been completed if the AI value or the like has converged. Once it is determined that avascularization has been completed, the cuff pressure on the distal side is fixed, and a pulse wave is detected from a change in cuff pressure on the proximal side in a state in which the distal side is avascularized.

A control amplitude and a control frequency of a voltage applied to a piezoelectric pump are determined, control is carried out so that a voltage at the determined control amplitude and control frequency is applied to the piezoelectric pump, and a blood pressure value is calculated based on a cuff pressure detected by a pressure detection unit during inflation when the cuff pressure is increased by the piezoelectric pump. The amplitude of the voltage is controlled in predetermined steps, and a voltage having an amplitude that is a value above the control amplitude by at least one step and a voltage having an amplitude that is a value below the control amplitude by at least one step are applied, in a predetermined order, so that the control is essentially the same as when a voltage at the determined control amplitude is applied.

A blood pressure meter includes an adjustment unit that adjusts a pressure in a cuff by controlling a piezoelectric pump that uses a piezoelectric vibrator to supply fluid to the cuff, a driving control unit that gradually changes a cuff pressure by performing driving control on the adjustment unit, a pressure detection unit that detects the cuff pressure, a blood pressure determination unit that determines a blood pressure value, a circumferential length detection unit that detects a circumferential length of the measurement area, a battery that supplies power to various units, and a decrease detection unit that detects a voltage decrease value for the battery during blood pressure measurement. Based on the circumferential length and the voltage decrease value detected in an initial inflation period when the blood pressure measurement is first started, a range of the voltage decrease value during blood pressure measurement carried out thereafter is estimated.

A blood pressure measurement device accurately calculates an index useful in determining the degree of arteriosclerosis by accurately detecting a difference in time of appearance of a ejection wave and reflected wave in a blood pressure waveform. The device sets a threshold value based on an index that expresses a characteristic of the blood pressure waveform with respect to the point of appearance of the reflected wave in the blood pressure and estimates a rise point of the reflected wave by calculating an x-coordinate value of a point based on a maximum amplitude of the reflected wave and the threshold value. The device obtains the index of degree of arteriosclerosis by calculating a time difference in appearance between the ejection wave and the reflected wave based on the estimated rise point of the reflected wave.

A measurement device includes an air bag on a peripheral side, an air bag on a central side, and an air bag positioned therebetween. During blood pressure measurement, the air bags integrally behave, and the blood pressure is measured from the change in inner pressure thereof. During pulse wave measurement, the inner pressure of the air bag on the peripheral side is maintained to higher than or equal to the systolic blood pressure, and the measurement site is avascularized. The inner pressure of the air bag on the central side is maintained to the pressure near the blood pressure value, and the pulse wave is measured from the change in inner pressure thereof. The inner pressure of the air bag positioned therebetween is opened to atmospheric pressure, and the vibration of the air bag on the central side is prevented from propagating to the air bag on the peripheral side.

An electronic blood pressure meter includes a cuff, an inflation control unit that controls a pump for outputting a fluid into the cuff so that a pressure in the cuff is increased at an inflation speed target in accordance with a driving voltage, a pressure detection unit that detects a cuff pressure signal indicating a cuff pressure, a blood pressure calculation unit that calculates a blood pressure value based on a pulse wave superimposed on the detected cuff pressure signal, and a target changing unit that varies the inflation speed target during an inflation process in which the cuff pressure begins to increase at an initial inflation speed target and continues to increase. The target changing unit varies the inflation speed target so that the driving voltage measured during the inflation process stays within a voltage range corresponding to a range in which the pump is capable of output.
