A hydraulic accumulator includes a limiting portion that is fitted into a ring end gap of a snap ring to limit a decrease in a diameter of the snap ring. The snap ring is stamped from a metal sheet by a press machine. Therefore, one of two opposed surfaces of a portion of the snap ring, which is fitted into a groove, forms a sloped surface as a result of shear droop. The limiting portion is fitted into the ring end gap of the snap ring to limit the decrease in the diameter of the snap ring. Thus, it is possible to limit riding of the sloped surface of the snap ring on a corner of the groove, and thereby it is possible to limit removal of the snap ring from the groove.

Hydraulic accumulator and manufacturing method thereof

A magnetism detection elements are arranged in an arrangement direction substantially perpendicular to a tooth trace of a gear when viewed from a magnetism generation unit and send a signal according to a magnetic flux flowing between the gear and the magnetism generation unit. A detection unit detects rotation of the gear according to the signal. A case accommodates the magnetism detection elements. A movement restriction unit is equipped to the case and located on the side of the gear at a place between the magnetism detection elements to restrict a magnetic foreign matter, which adheres to the case, from moving in the arrangement direction of the magnetism detection elements.

Rotation sensor

A stroke sensor has two magnets, which are magnetized in a cross-section direction and are displaced in a longitudinal direction, and two magnetism sensitive sections arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction. The magnets have circular-arc-shaped swelling end edges respectively and are magnetized such that the swelling end edges have opposite polarities. Thus, a distribution of a magnetic flux density on an arrangement axis substantially coincides with a sine curve. The magnetic flux having such the distribution is displaced in the longitudinal direction together with the magnets. The magnetism sensitive sections are arranged on the arrangement axis to be distant from each other by a distance of one fourth of a cycle of the sine curve. Thus, the stroke sensor that is not affected by temperature and that has high sensing accuracy can be provided.

Stroke sensor and rotation angle sensor

In a range detection device, a movable member has a magnetized portion and can move with a manual valve of a control device. A supporting member includes a plate portion having a surface opposed to the magnetized portion and a recess formed in an opposite surface of the plate portion, and supports the movable member such that the movable member is capable of moving parallel with the plate portion. A substrate is placed in the recess and has a first hole that penetrates the substrate. A magnetic detection element is installed to a surface of the substrate at a side of the plate portion to correspond to a position of the first hole, and detects magnetism of the magnetized portion. A sealing member is filled in the recess and covers the substrate and the magnetic detection element.

Range detection device

A position sensor includes a longitudinally extending permanent magnet member at least two longitudinally extending arc-shaped projecting elements respectively projecting from the opposite ends toward the inside space to confront each other at a distance and a pair of compatible main magnetic sensors disposed in the inside space along the longitudinal axis at an interval so as to generate a pair of output signals when the permanent magnet member shifts along the longitudinal axis. The opposite ends of the permanent magnet member are configured to surround a common inside space and polarized to have opposite magnetic poles so as to provide in the inside space a magnetic field whose magnetic flux density becomes a maximum at a longitudinal center of the inside space and gradually becomes smaller as a position of the inside space shifts from the longitudinal center along a longitudinal axis of the permanent magnet members. The arc-shaped projecting elements are arranged so that the magnetic flux density and each of the output signals can be expressed by a cosine of a shift value from the longitudinal center, and the interval is &#xbc; of the cycle of the cosine.

Permanent magnet type position sensor

A rotation angle detecting device includes a permanent magnet member, a pair of magnetic sensor elements disposed in a magnetic field formed by the permanent magnet member to provide a pair of output voltage signals when the magnetic field changes as the rotating object rotates; and a rotation angle calculating unit. The rotation angle calculating unit calculates a phase difference between the pair of output voltage signals from a magnitude of the output signal of one of the magnetic sensor elements when detecting a specific magnitude of the output signal of the other magnetic sensor elements whose phase angle is known.

Rotation angle detecting device

A rotation angle detecting device includes a magnetic field forming member, magneto-sensing IC circuit including first and second sensing sections in a magnetic field to have a first preset angle between them, and a selecting circuit. One of the first and second sensing section includes plural magneto-sensing elements whose sensing surfaces face in directions different from one another by a second preset angle. When the magnetic field forming member rotates relative to the magneto-sensing means, the magneto-sensing elements respectively provide the output signals. The selecting circuit selects a pair of the output signals of the magneto-sensing elements that is closest to a preset phase difference angle.

An angular speed detecting device is composed of a magnetic sensor unit connected to a rotating object and including a permanent magnet and a pair of magnetic sensor elements to generate a pair of signals and an electric computing unit that calculates an angular speed from the signals. The electric computing unit calculates the angular speed by the following steps: forming sine and cosine functions of an angle &#x3b8;' from the signals; forming a saw-tooth curve of the angle &#x3b8;&#x2032;; forming a table showing plus or minus sign of the signals and the saw-tooth curve of the angle &#x3b8;&#x2032; at a plurality of rotation angles of the rotating object; forming a pair of curves of output angles &#x3b8;and &#x3b8;in terms of 360-degree angular range by distinguishing rotation position of the rotating object from a combination of the plus, or minus sign of the signals and the saw-tooth curve of the angle &#x3b8;&#x2032;; and selectively using curves of the output angles &#x3b8;and &#x3b8;to calculate the angular speed of a rotating object.

Angular speed detecting device using dual angular position signals to reduce noise

An electromechanical conversion device includes an electromechanical conversion unit and a cable, which has a signal wire and a ground wire for grounding the electromechanical conversion unit. The electromechanical conversion unit performs a conversion between a relative movement with respect to a magnetic field generation unit and electrical signals, based on a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generation unit. The signal wire is connected with the electromechanical conversion unit to transfer the electrical signals, and has a first branch portion and a second branch portion which extend substantially parallel to the ground wire and are respectively arranged at two opposite sides of the ground wire. A distance between the first branch portion and the ground wire is substantially equal to that between the second branch portion and the ground wire.

Electromechanical conversion device

A rotation angle detector for detecting change in the magnetic flux has a magnetic sensor being disposed at a position in a space between an outer surface of a shaft and a periphery of the magnetic flux generation means. A supplementary magnet is also used in a space that is enclosed in a circular trace of the magnetic sensor around the shaft for even distribution of the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generation means.

Rotation angle detector

An improved rotation angle detecting device that detects a rotation angle of a first member relative to a second member is proposed. The rotation angle detecting device includes a magnet unit fixed to the first member and a pair of magnetic sensors fixed to the second member to provide output signals whose phase is different from each other at 90 degrees in angle. The magnet unit includes a pair of disk plates that has the same magnetic poles at the same circumferential positions and is disposed at a prescribed axial distance and a shaft that is made of magnetic material to support the disk plates at the center thereof. The magnetic unit provides a uniform magnetic field in a space around the shaft between the pair of disk plates, and a pair of magnetic sensors is disposed in the space.

Conductive wires run parallel to each other and connect a Hall element and an ECU. The conductive wire includes an extracting part and a wiring part. The extracting part runs along a surface of a base, on which the Hall element is positioned, and in a direction of a sensitivity of the Hall element. The wiring part extends from the extracting part and runs near a rotating crankshaft in an axial direction of the crankshaft. Similar to the conductive wire, the conductive wire includes an extracting part and a wiring part. Conductive wires run parallel to each other and connect a Hall element and the ECU. The conductive wires include an extracting part and a wiring part, and an extracting part and a wiring part, respectively.

Rotational angle detector

An angular position sensor including a magnetic field generator means and a magnetic sensor means. The magnetic field generator means produces a magnetic field. The magnetic sensor means has a first magnetic sensor element, a second magnetic sensor element, and a third magnetic sensor element each for providing an output signal depending on a direction of the magnetic field. One of the magnetic field generator means and the magnetic sensor means rotates in conjunction with the target object. The magnetic sensor elements are located so as to provide output signals having different phase differences by allowing the magnetic sensor means to rotate relative to the magnetic field generator means. The magnetic sensor elements are also located such that an output signal of each magnetic sensor element has a phase different from an inverted phase of an output signal of the other two magnetic sensor elements.

Method and apparatus for sensing angle of rotation which compensates an output signal from a magnetic sensor element irrespective of the range of rotational angles of a target object

A rotation angle detector for detecting a relative rotation angle of two respective parts includes two sensors, two magnetic flux induction devices as well as a magnetic flux generation unit. Variation in the magnetic flux formed in respective gaps of the two magnetic flux induction devices is detected by using the two magnetic sensors for detecting a relative rotation angle of the two parts.

A rotation angle detecting device includes magnetic field forming members such as a permanent magnet and a yoke, a plurality of magnetic sensors disposed in the magnetic field to rotate relative to the magnetic field forming members to provide output signals that are 90 degrees in phase different from each other, a judgment level calculating circuit that provides a judgment level based on the output signals and judging circuit that judges the output signals normal if the judgment level is within a prescribed range and not normal if the judgment level is out of the prescribed range.
