A vehicle driving assistance apparatus predicts (i) a first consumed energy amount corresponding to a consumed energy amount consumed by a driving apparatus of an own vehicle when executing a first following control and (ii) a second consumed energy amount corresponding to the consumed energy amount consumed by the driving apparatus of the own vehicle when executing the second following control. The apparatus executes the second following control when the second consumed energy amount is smaller than the first consumed energy amount. On the other hand, the apparatus executes the first following control when the second consumed energy amount is equal to or greater than the first consumed energy amount.

Vehicle driving assistance apparatus, vehicle driving assistance method, and computer-readable storage medium storing vehicle driving assistance program

A control device detects a first vehicle traveling in front of an own vehicle using a front looking radar device, and detects a second vehicle which is predicted to cut in between the own vehicle and the first vehicle using the front looking radar device and/or front-side looking radar devices. The control device calculates a first target acceleration required for the own vehicle to maintain an inter-vehicle distance between the own vehicle and the first vehicle at a first set inter-vehicle distance; and calculates a second target acceleration required for the own vehicle to maintain an inter-vehicle distance between the own vehicle and the second vehicle at a second set inter-vehicle distance. The control device selects either the first target acceleration or the second target acceleration and controls the own vehicle in such a manner that an actual acceleration of the own vehicle becomes closer to the mediated target acceleration.

Vehicle traveling control device

In a vehicle travel control apparatus configured to determine a target acceleration of an own vehicle based on an inter-vehicle distance to a predicted cutting-in vehicle predicted to cut in between the own vehicle and a following target vehicle as well as an inter-vehicle distance to the following target vehicle, it is necessary to notify a driver of the presence of the predicted cutting-in vehicle at an appropriate timing. A cutting-in probability, which is a probability that the predicted cutting-in vehicle carries out the cutting in, is acquired, and information on the predicted cutting-in vehicle is notified to the driver from a time point when a state where the cutting-in probability is higher than a start probability threshold has continued for a predetermined period to a time point when a state where the cutting-in probability is lower than an end probability threshold has continued for a predetermined period.

Vehicle travel control apparatus

A semiconductor wafer is provided with a thick region extending along its outer circumferential surface and being greater in thickness than its central region. A main surface of the wafer includes a slope surface located between the central region and the thick region. The slope surface has an inner circumferential edge and an outer circumferential edge, and slopes such that the thickness of the wafer increases from the inner circumferential edges to the outer circumferential edge. The slope surface includes an inner circumferential portion including the inner circumferential edge, an outer circumferential portion including the outer circumferential edge and an intermediate portion located between the inner and the outer circumferential portions. Semiconductor wafer and method of manufacturing semiconductor element

The present invention provides a plate-shaped workpiece positioning structure for hot press forming that, upon executing a hot press forming of a heated plate-shaped workpiece (), positions the plate-shaped workpiece relative to a pair of press dies (). The positioning structure includes (a) a first positioning opening () and (b) a second positioning openings (). The first positioning opening is arranged in a center part of the plate-shaped workpiece, and engages with a first positioning pin () provided on one () of the pair of press dies to position the plate-shaped workpiece. The second positioning openings are arranged between the first positioning opening and a predetermined outer peripheral parts () of the plate-shaped workpiece, and are formed in an elongate shape that extends along a line connecting the first positioning opening and the predetermined outer peripheral part of the plate-shaped workpiece. The second positioning openings engage with a second positioning pins () provided on one () of the pair of press dies. Thus, the plate-shaped workpiece is positioned in a circumferential direction about the first positioning opening of the plate-shaped workpiece. Additionally, the plate-shaped workpiece can contractionally deform toward the first positioning opening upon executing the hot press forming of the heated plate-shaped workpiece.
