In an antenna matching circuit including a parallel resonant section connected to a radiation element constituting an antenna, the parallel resonant section includes a series resonant portion composed of an inductance component and a capacitance component. The series resonant portion realizes antenna matching and band widening. The parallel resonant section can be inserted in a feeder line connected to the radiation element or inserted in a GND line connected to the radiation element.

A communication apparatus includes a first antenna device connected to a first communication circuit and a first antenna ground, and a second antenna device connected to a second communication circuit and a second antenna ground. The direction in which the first antenna device resonates is away from the direction in which the second antenna device resonates. The first antenna device is provided with a first waveguide passive element which is radiation-coupled with the first antenna device. The second antenna device is provided with a second waveguide passive element which is radiation-coupled with the second antenna device. Because of the function of the first and second passive elements, radio interference between the first antenna device and the second antenna device installed in the communication apparatus can be reduced.

Communication apparatus

The present invention relates mainly to a small dielectric antenna capable of obtaining a good VSWR characteristic even if it is placed in the vicinity of a grounding pattern when mounted on a circuit board. A dielectric antenna is formed in which a feed point of an antenna elementhaving a resonance frequency set to a first frequency in a first frequency band and a feed point of an antenna elementhaving a resonance frequency set to a second frequency are connected to an external feed terminal, and an open stubconnected to the antenna elementin the vicinity of the feed point. The open stubis provided to enable resonance at each of frequencies to be used while the lengths of the antenna elementsandare shorter than ordinary lengths determined according to the wavelengths of the frequency to be used. Further, even in the case of placement in the vicinity of a grounding conductor patternat the time of mounting on a circuit board, the frequency bandwidth through which a good VSWR characteristic can be obtained in a used frequency band can be extended.

Dielectric antenna

A wave filter having two or more dielectric resonators of substantially tubular shape juxtaposed on a base structure with their longitudinal orientations reversed alternately. The resonator terminals are therefore staggered on both sides of the juxtaposition of the resonators and thus better electrically isolated from one another than if all the resonators are oriented in the same longitudinal direction. The base structure is of ceramic material, having coupling elements, terminals, and all necessary electrical connections formed thereon or embedded therein.
