Provided is a vehicle control device capable of executing control processing by utilizing a power saving execution determination unit that determines a shift to or a release from a normal mode to a power saving mode on the basis of a preset power saving condition, and a power saving execution unit that executes power saving control of the CPU by determining a shift to the power saving mode and stops the power saving control of the CPU by determining a release of the power saving mode. Then, the power saving execution determination unit has a plurality of power saving conditions, determines to shift to the power saving mode in a case where all of the plurality of power saving conditions are satisfied, and determines to release the power saving mode in the case of being changed to a state in which some of the power saving conditions are not satisfied.

Provided is an automatic driving system based on a model predictive control, the automatic driving system where, in an event of a failure of an actuator, identification between a real vehicle and a vehicle model is simplified. Based on information regarding the failure of the actuator, the automatic driving system updates a spot in the vehicle model, the spot corresponding to the spot of failure detected, to a fixed value, and causes an actuator control device for the actuator, where the failure is detected, to fix a command value that is overwritten in accordance with a state of the actuator. With this configuration, the identification between the real vehicle and the vehicle model is simplified.

An object of the present invention is to enhance the reliability of an autonomous driving system. The autonomous driving system includes: a higher-level control devicethat outputs a control target value of an actuator group based on an action plan of a vehicle; and a lower-level control devicethat controls the actuator group of the vehicle based on a command from the higher-level control device. The lower-level control deviceholds the control target value of the vehicle provided by the higher-level control deviceover a specific period. The operation command value generation unit generates an operation amount for the actuator, and the responsiveness adjusting unit adjusts the output of the evaluation function according to the situation degree.
