An electrical junction box having a structure in which a lever of a lever type connector engages a connector hood and a deflection of a wall portion can be prevented without increasing of a resin amount. Latch projections protrude from a wall portion of the connector hood toward the inside of the connector hood. The latch projections engage guide grooves in a lever of a connector. A plurality of lightening holes are formed in the wall portion. The latch projections are supported on a solid part of the wall portion that is not provided with the lightening holes.

Electrical junction box

An electrical junction box reduces the number of components to be contained in an electrical junction box and simplifies a structure of the box. The electrical junction box has a casing assembly including an upper casing and a lower casing. A laminated unit including bus bars and insulation plates is contained in the upper casing, while a first printed circuit board, a second printed circuit board and a spacer made of an insulation resin material are contained in the lower casing. The first printed circuit board is disposed on one side of the spacer, while the second printed circuit board is disposed on the other side of the spacer. Shorter size fixing bars and longer size fixing bars project from an inner surface on a top wall of the upper casing. The shorter size fixing bars penetrate the laminated unit, first printed circuit board and spacer. Screws are inserted upward into the shorter size fixing bars via through-holes in the spacer to secure the unit, first printed circuit board, and spacer to the shorter bars. Longer size fixing bars penetrate the laminated unit, first printed circuit board, spacer, second printed circuit board, and lower casing. Screws are inserted upward into the longer size fixing bars via through-holes in the lower casing to secure the unit, first and second printed circuit boards, spacer, and lower casing to the longer bars.

An electrical junction box for a motor vehicle, the electrical junction box including a casing assembly, a bracket section and a bracket. The bracket section is integrated with and projected from an exterior of the casing assembly. The bracket section includes a top wall provided with a clip-engaging hole and opposite side walls extending downward from the top wall and that have clamping-piece portions that are opposed to each other at a distal end of the opposite side walls. The bracket is fitted on and secured to an exterior of the bracket section. The bracket includes a top plate portion provided with a clip-engaging hole and an outer plate portion extending downward from the top plate portion and that has an engaging-piece portion.

Electrical junction box for motor vehicle

A junction box has a casing assembly including an upper casing and a lower casing, a laminated unit including bus bars and insulation plates, and first and second printed circuit boards contained in the casing assembly. The first printed circuit board is used as a higher current circuit having thick-film conductors. The second printed circuit board is used as a middle or lower current circuit having thin-film conductors with thicknesses smaller than those of the thick-film conductors on the first printed circuit board. Board relays are mounted on a part of different peripheral portions on both sides of the first printed circuit board or a part of peripheral portion of either side of the first printed circuit board. The board relays are disposed in the casing assembly to be opposed to a first heat generating element containing space defined between a front side of the first printed circuit board and an inner surface of a top wall of the upper casing, and a second heat generating element containing space defined between a rear side of the first printed circuit board and an inner surface of a bottom wall of the lower casing.

Junction box to be mounted on motor vehicle

Three printed boards are stored in a case, and a relay connector for connecting the three printed boards is mounted on the second printed board at the middle position. The relay connector is provided with a first terminal storing part, which is long in a vertical direction, and a short second terminal storing part. The relay connector connects a terminal pin of the first printed board at an upper position with a terminal pin of the third printed board at a lower position, via a long first relay terminal stored in the first terminal storing part, while connecting a terminal pin of the first printed board and/or the terminal pin of the third printed board with a conductor of the second printed board, via a short second relay terminal stored in the second terminal storing part.

Electric junction box

An electrical connection box for use in a vehicle, particularly a car, has a casing, and a stack of bus bars and insulation plates alternating in a vertical direction. For drainage of water penetrating onto the stack, each insulation plate has a drainage aperture and a drainage wall extending downwardly from its aperture so as to define and surround a drainage passage. At least each of the insulation plates below the upper plate has on its upper surface a flow interruption rib upstanding continuously around its drainage aperture. Water on one bus bar does not connect the bus bar conductively to another bus bar.

A junction box whose total size is reduced without reducing the areas necessary for accommodating fuse receptacles and relay receptacles. The body of the junction box is preferably a flat rectangular parallelepiped. On the first face thereof, there are integral relay receptacles, preferably adjacent one side in a single vertical row. On the opposite face, there is a plurality of fuse receptacles located adjacent the opposite side of the junction box and thereby spaced apart laterally from the relay receptacles. Those fuses which are relatively near to the relay receptacles are for apparatus which is not operated continuously, such as a rear windshield wiper, cigarette lighter, etc. On the four sides of the body are provided the locking members with which the junction box is fixed to the base, usually the chassis of an automotive vehicle.

An electrical connection box includes an upper casing which has a peripheral wall and a locking portion provided on the peripheral wall; a lower casing which has a peripheral wall and a mating locking portion provided on the peripheral wall; wherein the peripheral wall of one of the upper and lower casings is fitted into the peripheral wall of the other of the upper and lower casings such that the electrical connection box is assembled through engagement of the locking portion of the upper casing with the mating locking portion of the lower casing; a bracket engageable portion which is projected from the peripheral wall of the one of the upper and lower casings such that the electrical connection box is mounted on a vehicle body through engagement of the bracket engageable portion with a bracket secured to the vehicle body; and a rib which is provided on the peripheral wall of the other of the upper and lower casings and is inserted into a groove formed on the peripheral wall of the one of the upper and lower casings so as to be enclosed by the peripheral wall of the one of the upper and lower casings.
