A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a gas supply unit, an electric power storage device, a remaining capacity monitor, and a control unit. The control unit determines whether the temperature conditions are met, wherein the low temperature conditions include temperature related to a state of the fuel cell being equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold value set, when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are met, the control unit executes the purging process so as to discharge more of moisture stored in the fuel cell to an outside of the fuel cell, as compared with when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are not met, and the control unit executes the charging process with target remaining capacity of the electric power storage device set to a smaller value, as compared with when the control unit determines that the low temperature conditions are not met.

Fuel cell system and control method of fuel cell system

A fuel cell vehicle includes a battery and a fuel cell that supply an electric power to an electric motor for traveling. A controller sets a maximum increase rate of an output torque of the electric motor for a predetermined time after the fuel cell starts activation to be a first upper limit rate. The controller sets the maximum increase rate of an output torque after the lapse of the predetermined time to a second upper limit rate that is larger than the first upper limit rate.

In a fuel cell vehicle, when temperature of a power storage device detected by a temperature sensor is a second temperature, which is lower than a predetermined first temperature, at least in a period when the power storage device is allowed to be charged with regenerative electric power, remaining charge is controlled by setting a lower limit to a value higher than a lower limit set at the first temperature. When a stop instruction for a fuel cell system is input, remaining charge raising processing for raising the remaining charge of the power storage device is performed.

A fuel cell system includes a drive motor, a fuel cell, an auxiliary machine, a secondary battery, a temperature sensor, a current sensor, and a control section. The control section controls the secondary battery for discharging by driving the drive motor or the auxiliary machine and for charging through power generation by the fuel cell or regeneration by the drive motor when a temperature measured by the temperature sensor is lower than a specified value.
