A reinforcing plate is provided between an inner central portion that structures a portion of a connecting member and a rear end portion of a dash cross-member. The reinforcing plate is a wrought member and is joined (at a join portion) to both the inner central portion and a rear wall portion of the dash cross-member via joining members. Because the wrought member has high tensile strength, when the reinforcing plate is provided at the join portion of the connecting member, a tensile load acting on the join portion may be borne by the reinforcing plate, and breakage of the connecting member may be suppressed. Therefore, an impact load transmitted from a front side member through the connecting member may be transmitted to the dash cross-member and rockers.

Vehicle front portion structure

A vehicle side portion structure that includes: a pair of rockers that, at vehicle side portions, respectively extend along a vehicle longitudinal direction at both outer sides in a vehicle transverse direction of a floor panel that is a floor portion of a vehicle cabin interior, first impact absorbing portions that form closed cross-sectional structures and that, at a time of a side collision of a vehicle, plastically deform and absorb collision energy being provided at interiors of the pair of rockers; and side doors that open and close door opening portions of the vehicle side portions, second impact absorbing portions, which form closed cross-sectional structures and, at the time of a side collision of the vehicle, plastically deform and absorb collision energy, being provided at lower portions of interiors of the side doors.

Vehicle side portion structure

A vehicle body lower portion structure includes: a lower frame member formed as a chamber that extends in a vehicle body longitudinal direction, having a guide portion at inner surfaces of wall portions that structure the chamber, the lower frame member being disposed at a vehicle body lower side; and a reinforcing member formed as a second chamber that extends in the vehicle body longitudinal direction, having a plurality of projections at outer surfaces of wall portions that structure the second chamber, the reinforcing member being provided within the chamber of the lower frame member in a state in which the plurality of projections are made to contact the guide portion.

Vehicle body lower portion structure

A vehicle lower section structure includes: a suspension member, formed in a frame shape, including left and right side-rails extending in a vehicle front-rear direction, and front and rear cross members coupling the left and right side-rails together in a vehicle width direction; a contactless charger fastened to both a left side and a right side of a front portion and a rear portion of the suspension member, and being supported by the suspension member; and an electrical component disposed above the contactless charger and is electrically connected to the contactless charger, the electrical component is fastened to both the left side and the right side of the front portion and the rear portion of the suspension member and is supported by the suspension member.

Vehicle lower section structure

A vehicle body lower section structure including a battery pack and a pair of rockers is provided. The battery pack is mounted at a vehicle lower side of a floor panel of a vehicle. The pair of rockers are respectively disposed at two outer sides of the floor panel in a vehicle width direction. Each of the rockers extends along a vehicle front-rear direction and is configured with a profile when sectioned along the vehicle width direction that is a closed cross-section profile. Inside each rocker, an impact absorbing section is disposed at a position overlapping with the battery pack in vehicle side view so as to span along the vehicle width direction between an outer wall and an inner wall of the rocker, and a join section is provided at the impact absorbing section, joining the battery pack to the rocker.

Vehicle body lower section structure

A vehicle front portion structure includes: a dash cross-member extending in a vehicle width direction at a lower portion in a vehicle vertical direction of a dash panel, the dash panel being configured to partition between a power unit compartment provided at a vehicle front portion and a vehicle cabin, and the dash cross-member being a first framework member of which a cross-sectional shape when cut along the vehicle front-rear direction forms a first chamber portion between the dash cross-member and the dash panel; and a battery pack that extends in the vehicle width direction and the vehicle front-rear direction at the vehicle lower side of a floor panel that structures a floor portion of the vehicle cabin, a front end portion in the vehicle front-rear direction of the battery pack being joined to the dash cross-member.

A vehicle body front section structure is provided including a battery pack, a lower cross member, and an impact absorbing structure. The battery pack is mounted at a vehicle lower side of a floor panel of a vehicle. The lower cross member is disposed at the vehicle lower side of a front cross member at a lower section of a front end of the vehicle, and extends along a vehicle width direction. The impact absorbing structure is provided between the lower cross member and the battery pack, and absorbs collision energy from collision load input from a vehicle front side.

Vehicle body front section structure

A vehicle back door main body includes () an outer upper panel made of carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic that is joined to an upper portion of an inner panel made of carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic, and () an outer lower panel made of a resin that is weaker than the carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic and that is joined to a lower portion of the inner panel. A first portion of the inner panel is reinforced by the outer upper panel. A second portion of the inner panel has a lower strength than the first portion. A boundary between the first and second portions, at which there is a strength difference, is located adjacent to a small window opening in the vehicle back door.

Vehicle back door

There is provided a vehicle lower section structure including: a suspension member that extends in a vehicle front-rear direction and that includes a pair of side rails that are be separated from each other in a vehicle width direction; a vehicle onboard device that is formed with a substantially box shape, that is disposed between one of the side rails and the other of the side rails, and that includes a bottom face disposed substantially in the same plane as a bottom face of the suspension member; and a flow smoothing section that is provided at at least one of the bottom face of the vehicle onboard device or the bottom face of the suspension member, and that is provided projecting out toward a vehicle lower side and extending along the vehicle front-rear direction.

The present disclosure provides a vehicle body lower portion structure including: a lower portion framework member, formed in a chamber shape extending in a vehicle body front-and-rear direction, including a guide portion at an inner face of a wall portion structuring the chamber shape, and being disposed at a vehicle body lower side; a battery, installed on a battery frame, and is disposed at a vehicle width direction inner side of the lower portion framework member; and a reinforcing member formed in a chamber shape extending in the vehicle body front-and-rear direction, provided inside a chamber of the lower portion framework member in a state of being supported at the guide portion, and at least a portion of the reinforcing member overlapping with at least one of the battery or the battery frame in a side view seen in a vehicle width direction.

A vehicle resin back door installation method includes: a vehicle body-side positioning step of attaching first positioning jigs to a vehicle body, and forming first sloping surfaces; a back door-side positioning step of attaching second positioning jigs to a back door, and forming second sloping surfaces; a temporary placing step of bringing the second sloping surfaces into contact with the first sloping surfaces, at the same time temporarily placing the back door on the vehicle body, and centering the back door in the vehicle width direction with respect to the vehicle body; an attaching step of attaching the back door to the vehicle body; and a detaching step of detaching the first positioning jigs from the vehicle body and detaching the second positioning jigs from the back door.

Vehicle resin back door installation method

A vehicle body structure includes a frame structure portion configured to define an opening; the frame structure portion including a first panel having a first joint portion, a second panel having a second joint portion, and a first adhesive portion that adheres to the first joint portion and the second joint portion; a windowpane that is provided on a vehicle outside of the opening and that covers the opening; and a second adhesive portion that adheres to the first panel, the second panel, and the windowpane, wherein at least one of the first panel and the second panel is made of resin, the second adhesive portion is arranged closing off or covering an open end of a gap in a joint between the first panel and the second panel, and the first adhesive portion is arranged within the gap.

Vehicle body structure

A method of assembling a vehicle back door includes forming a chamber by joining, with an adhesive, an inner panel made of resin to an outer panel made of resin; and inserting a first holding jig inside the chamber through a hole formed in the outer panel and allowing the adhesive to harden in a state in which a joint portion between the inner panel and the outer panel is sandwiched between and held by the first holding jig and a second holding jig placed outside the chamber.
