In order to reduce the amount of an organism attractant substance remaining inside concrete that tends be used wastefully and also to allow the organism attractant substance to effectively flow out gradually in a long period of time, an environmentally active, preserving and repairing-use concrete block is provided in which the air content and flowability of the concrete are increased, and the congregating and growing effects for fishes and shellfishes and the adhering and growing effects for algae are maintained so that a high attractant effect by odor of the organism attractant substance is obtained. An environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete block is provided with at least three or more legs, and in this structure the environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete block is formed by using an environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete having high air content and high flowability formed by kneading an organism attractant substance having a specific odor therein.

There is provided a process for producing an N-acyl amino acid amide, comprising a condensation reaction of an N-acyl amino acid with an amine and/or an ammonia, preferably a primary amine, a secondary amine and/or an ammonia under dehydration in the presence of a boron compound as the catalyst under coexistence of an alcohol as the auxiliary solvent, at a high yield for a short time. A medium for hylotropic dehydration such as hydrocarbon compounds may be used in the reaction.

Disclosed herein are the novel polyamino acid derivatives characterized in that at least four amino acid molecules are bound through the nitrogen atoms of the amino groups by crosslinking groups (e.g., alkylene groups which may have a hydroxyl group on, and/or an ether linkage in, the carbon chain), and their various uses, as well as the uses of the polyamino acid derivatives having a structure similar to that of the novel polyamino acid derivatives, but wherein less than 4 amino asid molecules are bound in one molecule, as a chelating agent, a pigment dispersant, a surface-treating agent for a powder, toiletries and a rust-proofing agent.

Polyamino acid derivatives

A composition suitable for hair care which has excellent hair conditioning effects and provides a pleasant sensory feeling during use. The composition contains basic amino acids and high alcohols, and is preferably free of non-polymeric alkyl quaternary ammonium salts, which are irritating and poorly biodegradable. The composition may also contain cationic polymers to enhance the conditioning effects. Anionic surface active agents, ampholytic surface active agents, or both, may also be incorporated into the hair care composition in order to impart hair cleansing properties.

Hair care products

Provided is a novel surfactant which is less irritating to the skin or the mucous membrane than prior art surfactants, which exhibits excellent conditioning effects and fabric softening effects, and which can be widely used in a toiletry or detergent composition. Basic amino-acid derivatives or salts thereof obtained by reacting glycidyl ethers with basic amino acids or salts thereof are incorporated into a toiletry or detergent composition or a conditioning agent.
