A fluid ejection device includes a fluid ejection unit that ejects a fluid onto an ejection target; a main chassis case that includes a platen disposed in a area for ejecting the fluid by the fluid ejection unit; a container case for containing a pack, the pack containing a fluid for ejection, wherein the container case is pivotably attached to the main chassis case and openable by rotation about a rotation shaft; and a delivery tube that delivers the fluid from the pack to the fluid ejection unit.

The fluid container includes a container portion and a withdrawal portion. An image forming apparatus comprises: a latent image carrier which carries an electrostatic latent image; a developing unit which visualizes with toner the electrostatic latent image carried by the latent image carrier and forms a toner image; an intermediate transfer medium to which the toner image is transferred from the latent image carrier and which rotates and transports the toner image to a predetermined transfer position and transfers the toner image to a recording medium; a cleaner which abuts on the surface of the intermediate transfer medium and removes toner which adheres to the surface of the intermediate transfer medium after the transfer to the recording medium; and a controller which, assuming that the direction which is orthogonal to the travel direction in which the intermediate transfer medium moves is a width direction, executes toner accumulating processing during which predetermined toner images are formed as end patch images in end areas of the surface of the intermediate transfer medium which are located on outer side along the width direction relative to an image forming region in which a toner image corresponding to size of the recording medium is formed and the cleaner then removes the end patch images.

A color image forming apparatus has a plurality of developing devices. Each developing device has developer that includes a predetermined ratio, in volume of developer particles having a diameter of a predetermined value or less, with respect to an entire volume of toner. Each developing device is capable of developing a latent image using the developer. A color image is formed by successively performing development operations so as to superimpose different kinds of developer.

In an image forming apparatus, a patch image is formed on the surface of a belt-like image support for supporting a toner image on the surface and is detected with a patch sensor placed facing a placing part on a roller for stretching the belt-like image support. An angle adjustment mechanism for adjusting the attachment angle of the patch sensor rotates the patch sensor with an intersection point of an optical axis of the patch sensor and a sensing face as the center for adjusting the attachment angle of the patch sensor. The patch sensor is attached to one member forming a part of a support frame of the image support and the attachment angle of the member is adjusted, whereby the attachment angle of the patch sensor is adjusted.

An image formation apparatus includes a cleaning device capable of coming into and out of contact with the front surface of a toner image carrier which rotates with toner images adhering on its front surface, and for removing toners adherent on the front surface of the toner image carrier during the contact. A toner reception portion is disposed on a downstream side than the contact position between the cleaning device and the toner image carrier as viewed in the moving direction of the front surface of the toner image carrier, and it is partitioned into a plurality of chambers by a partition plate which extends in a direction substantially orthogonal to the moving direction of the front surface of the toner image carrier.
