Provided is a fuel composition prepared by adding gas-to-liquid oil and water to light cycle oil to conduct emulsification. The fuel composition is used as a fuel for a diesel engine () in a ship (). The ship () includes a fresh water tank (), an LCO tank (), and a GTL tank () configured to store water, light cycle oil, and gas-to-liquid oil, respectively, and a mixer () configured to mix the water, the light cycle oil, and the gas-to-liquid oil fed from the respective tanks to produce the fuel composition.

Fuel composition, ship, and automatic fuel composition-switching system

An injection system for a dual-fuel diesel engine operated by means of a main fuel having a low cetane number and an auxiliary fuel having a high cetane number is disclosed. The injection system includes a pressure regulating check valve provided in parallel to a delivery valve in a main fuel injection pump and allowing fuel flow only in a direction opposite to that in the delivery valve. A control valve feeds the auxiliary fuel pressurized by a fuel feed pump to a fuel injection valve at an appropriate feed rate and at appropriate fuel feed timing regulated by a control device. A check valve is provided in the proximity of a fuel reservoir of the fuel injection valve in a flow passageway of the auxiliary fuel.

Injection system for a dual-fuel engine

A fuel injection device in which a fuel injection pump is connected through a fuel injection pipe to a fuel injection nozzle. The inner diameter of the fuel injection pipe is reduced from the side of the fuel injection pump towards the side of the fuel injection nozzle in either a stepwise manner or continuously.
