After first, second, and third continuous members are bonded to each other in a laminated state, they are cut together to a predetermined length for thereby producing an instant photography film unit. A predetermined number of produced instant photography film units are stacked in a stacking station, and then automatically placed into a film pack in a packaging station. An overall process of manufacturing instant photography film units that are packaged is performed automatically and efficiently.

Method of and apparatus for manufacturing instant photography film unit

When arranging a plurality of sheets side by side in predetermined pattern on a sheet receiving member, the sheets are fed to a receiving position one by one, and are picked up one by one by a suction cup on a rotatable arm member. The rotatable arm member is rotated to bring each sheet picked up by the suction cup to a delivery position, and the sheet is placed on the part of the sheet receiving member positioned in the delivery position while the sheet receiving member is moved, in synchronization with rotation of the rotatable arm member, along a predetermined path corresponding to said predetermined pattern so that a new part of the sheet receiving member is brought to the delivery position each time the sheet receiving member is moved. This method is applicable to a process for making chemical analysis slides.

Method of and apparatus for arranging sheets

A chemical analysis slide includes at least two plastic sheets superposed one on another and bonded together, and a chemical analysis film sandwiched therebetween. In a method of continuously assembling such chemical analysis slides, while at least two plastic sheets in continous lengths are conveyed in the longitudinal direction thereof, a plurality of chemical anaylsis films are sandwiched between the plastic sheets at predetermined intervals, the plastic sheets are bonded together at a portion circumscribing each of the chemical analysis films sandwiched therebetween to form a sheet assembly and individual chemical analysis slides are cut out from the sheet assembly. At least one of the sheets in continuous lengths is provided with a plurality of slits extending in the transverse direction of the sheet at regular intervals at the remaining portions of the sheet which do not form a part of the chemical analysis slide.

Method of continuously assembling chemical analysis slides

A magnetic recording disk cartridge comprises a magnetic disk unit rotatably accommodated in a casing. A method of assembling the magnetic recording disk cartridge comprises a first conveying step of conveying a lower half of the casing by a first conveyor, a second conveying step of conveying an upper half of the casing by a second conveyor, a disk assembling step of receiving a magnetic disk sheet and a core part and securing the magnetic disk sheet to the core part to form a magnetic disk unit, a disk unit placing step of placing the magnetic disk unit on the lower half of the casing on the first conveyor, and a casing assembling step of transferring both the upper half of the casing on the second conveyor and the lower half of the casing with the magnetic disk unit on the first conveyor to an assembly table, receiving mechanical parts, incorporating the mechanical parts in the lower half on the assembly table, subsequently connecting the upper and lower halves and transferring the integrated casing to a third conveyor. The disk unit placing step is carried out by the intermittent-stop-and-wait system.
