This power supply unit of a control system outputs a notification signal to a calculation unit when a time in which an input voltage becomes smaller than a threshold voltage exceeds a prescribed first measurement time. When detecting that a predetermined second measurement time has elapsed after the notification signal has been received, the calculation unit outputs an instruction signal instructing the execution of a process before a stop in preparation for a prescribed stop of power supply, and executes the process before the stop in place of the current process. Settings of the threshold voltage and the second measurement time are configured to be changeable by means of an external operation.

Control system and power supply unit

A light amplifier according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a seed light source configured to generate a pulsing seed light; an excitation light source configured to generate excitation light; a light amplifying fiber configured to amplify the seed light by the excitation light and output the amplified light; and a control unit configured to control the seed light source and the excitation light source. The control unit has a mode to control the excitation light's power such that as a set value of a pulse width of the amplified light increases, the amplified light's peak energy increases within a threshold value at a minimum set value of the pulse width.

Light amplification device and laser processing device

A light amplifying device includes, a light amplifying fiber to amplify a seed beam from a seed light source with an excitation beam from an excitation light source, and a controller. The controller causes the seed light source to emit the seed beam in an emission period in which the light amplifying fiber outputs the amplified light beam, causes the excitation light source to emit the excitation beam having first-level power in a non-emission period immediately before the emission period, and changes the excitation beam power to a second level higher than the first level at a beginning of the emission period. The controller increases the excitation beam power to a third level higher than the second level after starting of the emission period, and decreases gradually the excitation beam power from the third level to the second level.

Light amplifying device and laser processing apparatus

A peak value detector detects power of an output light pulse which is output from the light amplifying fiber. A light receiving element receives a group of light pulses including a plurality of pulses and converts the group of light pulses into a current signal. The current/voltage converter circuit converts the current output from the light receiving element to voltage. The integration circuit integrates the voltage output from the current/voltage converter circuit. A programmable gain amplifier (PGA) amplifies the signal output from the integration circuit and provides the signal for the A/D converter circuit. The gain of the PGA is set by a gain setting signal from the signal processing circuit. The signal processing circuit adjusts the gain of the PGA so that the gain increases as the repetition frequency of the group of pulses increases.

Light amplifier and laser processing device

A laser processing device includes a light amplifying fiber, a seed semiconductor laser (LD) for pulsing seed light multiple times during an emission period, an excitation LD for generating the exciting light of power at a first level during a non-emission period immediately before the emission period and generating the exciting light of power at a second level higher than the first level during the emission period, a light receiving element and a peak value detector for detecting power of an output light pulse which is output from the light amplifying fiber, and a control device. The control device controls the power of the exciting light of the non-emission period based on the detected value from the peak value detector to cause the power of first output light pulses which are generated during the emission period to be the same as the power of final output light pulses.
