Provided is a video display device that quickly determines, when a video signal of unknown resolution is input from the outside, the resolution of the video signal to correctly display a video. The video display device includes: A/D conversion unit for converting an analog video signal into a digital video signal by using a dot clock; clock generation unit for generating a dot clock of a predetermined frequency; phase adjustment unit for adjusting a phase of the dot clock; and control unit for estimating vertical resolution of the analog video signal based on a vertical synchronization signal and a horizontal synchronization signal, causing the clock generation unit to generate a dot clock of a frequency that corresponds to each pre-registered horizontal resolution candidate, calculating a maximum total difference value of the digital video signal while causing the phase adjustment unit to adjust a phase of the dot clock, and determining, among all the horizontal resolution candidates, the horizontal resolution, in which the maximum total difference value is largest, to be horizontal resolution of the analog video signal.

An electrode device for an electrochemical sensor chip includes an insulation sheet having an insulating property and including a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to each other in a thickness direction, and electrode members having a conductivity and held by the insulation sheet in portions piercing the insulation sheet in a thickness direction, one ends of the electrode members located on the top surface side of the insulation sheet being connected to the analyte, other ends located on the bottom surface side of the insulation sheet being connected to the electrodes of the transducer, recesses for trapping the analyte being formed in the top surface of the insulation sheet so as to correspond to the electrode members, the one ends of the electrode members being exposed at a bottom of the recesses.

A format of an inputted video signal is estimated to be based on the total number of vertical lines, and a frequency dividing ratio of a PLL unit is provisionally set at a predetermined value corresponding to the estimated format. Next, the frequency dividing ratio is calculated so that a measured value of a horizontal display width that is measured by a video detecting unit matches a capture width which is the horizontal display width capturable by a frame memory, and the calculated frequency dividing ratio is converted to a multiple of 4. A phase adjustment of the regenerative dot clock is performed against the video signal based on the converted frequency dividing ratio by using the regenerative dot clock generated by the PLL unit. Furthermore, the frequency dividing ratio is recalculated so that the measured value of the horizontal display width that is measured by the video detecting unit matches the capture width by using the regenerative dot clock after finishing the phase adjustment, and the calculated frequency dividing ratio is reset to the PLL unit.

Image display apparatus and frequency adjustment method thereof

An environmental abnormality detection apparatus has a detection portion for detecting a phenomenon such as a fire or gas leakage, and a signal processor such as a microcomputer or the like for determining whether an environmental abnormality has occurred in accordance with a detection signal from the detection portion and for generating an alarm signal when the abnormality occurs. A power source control circuit is provided to intermittently supply power to the signal processor and to stop power supply in accordance with an end of processing signal from the signal processor.
