A gaze target detector includes a line-of-sight detector, a relative speed data acquiring unit, a relative position data acquiring unit, a curvature calculator, a threshold adjuster, and a gaze determination unit. The line-of-sight detector detects the line of sight of an occupant in a vehicle. The relative speed data acquiring unit acquires a relative speed between the vehicle and a gaze target at which the occupant is gazing. The relative position data acquiring unit acquires a relative position between the vehicle and the gaze target. The curvature calculator calculates the curvature of a traveling track of the vehicle. The threshold adjuster adjusts a threshold based on at least one of the relative speed, the relative position, or the curvature. The threshold is used to determine the gaze target. The gaze determination unit determines the gaze target as a gaze event based on the threshold adjusted.

Gaze target detector

A voice recognizing apparatus includes a sound input unit, a voice level calculating unit, a noise level calculating unit, a character converting unit, a reliability calculating unit, and a necessary voice level calculating unit. The sound input unit is configured to receive electrical signals as voice and noise signals converted from voice of a talker and noise in environment, respectively. The voice level calculating unit and the noise level calculating unit are configured to calculate, as voice and noise levels, levels of the voice and noise signals, respectively. The character converting unit is configured to perform conversion of a waveform of the electric signal as the voice signal into a character string. The reliability calculating unit is configured to calculate reliability of the conversion. The necessary voice level calculating unit is configured to calculate a necessary voice level on the basis of the voice and noise levels and the reliability.

Voice recognizing apparatus and voice recognizing method

An attention calling apparatus for a vehicle includes a voice receiver, an utterance estimating unit, a precaution information determining unit, and a notification unit. The voice receiver receives a voice from occupants in the vehicle. The utterance estimating unit estimates an utterance on the basis of the voice. The precaution information determining unit determines whether the utterance includes precaution information regarding driving of the vehicle. The notification unit notifies at least one of the occupants of the precaution information when the utterance includes the precaution information.
