The present invention provides a concrete admixture which is useful in the field of a highly strong concrete, which has a high flowability and which is excellent in an applicability of a concrete paste. That is, the present invention provides a concrete admixture comprising a copolymer-mixture obtained by copolymerizing a specific monomer (A) such as an ethylene-based unsaturated carboxylic acid-derivative having a polyoxyalkylene group and a specific monomer (B) such as a (meth)acrylic acid with changing the molar ratio of (A)/(B) at least one time in the polymerization course, as well as a concrete composition comprising the said concrete admixture.

Hydraulic composition and process for preparing the same

The present invention is directed to a hydraulic composition comprising (a) a water soluble polymer, (b) a superplasticizer which is a copolymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer (C-1) represented by the following Formula (1) with at least one monomer (C-2) selected from the compounds represented by the following Formulas (2) and (3): ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent hydrogen or methyl; ml represents an integer of 0 to 32; AO represents an oxyalkylene group having a carbon number of 2 to 3; n represents an integer of 2 to 300; and X represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 to 3); ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.3 to R.sub.5 each represent hydrogen, methyl or (CH.sub.2).sub.m2 COOM.sub.2 ; R.sub.6 represents hydrogen or methyl; M.sub.1, M.sub.2 and Y each represent hydrogen, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, alkylammonium, or substituted alkylammonium; and M.sub.2 represents an integer of 0 to 2); and (c) a hydraulic powder.

Cement and aggregates are mixed with each other by the use of a dispersant to the effect of water reduction and prevention of slump loss, the dispersant comprising (1) (I), (IIa), and an amine reaction terminator of (IIb), (IIc), (IVg) and/or (IVh); (2) (I), (IIb) and/or (IIc) and (IIIe) and/or (IIIf); or (3) (I), (IIa) and (IIIe) and/or (IIIf), in which formulae, R is hydrogen or an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; X is an alkali metal; X.sub.1 is hydrogen, an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, carboxylic acid group, an alkali metal salt carboxylate, sulfonic acid group, an alkali metal salt sulfonate, hydroxy or methoxy; Y.sub.1 is carboxylic acid or an alkali metal salt carboxylate, sulfonic acid or an alkali metal salt sulfonate; Y is hydrogen or an alkali metal; Z is hydrogen, an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or --CH.sub.2 SO.sub.3 M; and M is hydrogen or an alkali metal. ##STR1##

Cement admixture

A hydraulic cement composition is effectively dispersed with the use as a dispersion agent of a reaction product obtained by oxidizing and polymerizing a condensate of formaldehyde with a naphthalenesulfonic acid salt and/or an alkylnaphthalenesulfonic acid salt to produce a constitutional unit which is derived by elimination of a methylene group, hydroxyzation and condensation polmerization, or oxidation and ring-opening of the naphthalene ring.
