A tightening device and a tightening method are able to check that a fastening member has been fastened to a desired set torque or greater after being tightened, without loosening the fastening member. The tightening device executes a first tightening process of adjusting the output of a motor after measured torque that is measured by a torque detector has reached a preset first control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset first set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the first set torque, and then executes a second tightening process of driving the motor at an initial output that is less than in the first tightening process, adjusting the output of the motor after the measured torque that is measured by the torque detector has reached a preset second control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset second set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the second set torque.

Tightening device and tightening method

A tightening device is able to check that a fastening member has been fastened to a desired set torque or greater after being tightened, without loosening the fastening member. The tightening device is provided with a mode switching switch for switching between a first tightening process of adjusting the output of a motor after measured torque that is measured by a torque detector has reached a preset first control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset first set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the first set torque, and a second tightening process of driving the motor at an initial output that is less than in the first tightening process, adjusting the output of the motor after the measured torque that is measured by the torque detector has reached a preset second control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset second set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the second set torque.

Tightening device

There is provided a wireless data transmitting and receiving system that wirelessly transmits a signal regarding a torque acting on a rotary shaft and/or a rotation angle of the rotary shaft from a data transmitting unit disposed in the rotary shaft to a data receiving unit. The wireless data transmitting and receiving system includes: a data transmitting unit () provided on the rotary shaft () of a tightening machine () to detect the torque and the rotation angle, the data transmitting unit () including a torque sensor () disposed so as to be capable of sensing a toque acting on the rotary shaft (), a rotation angle sensor () disposed so as to be capable of a rotation angle of the rotary shaft (), and transmitting means () that is electrically connected to the foregoing sensors (), and wirelessly transmits signals regarding the torque detected in the torque sensor () and the rotation angle detected in the rotation angle sensor (); and a data receiving unit () including receiving means () that receives the transmitted signals regarding the torque and the rotation angle, and display means () that displays the signals regarding the torque and the rotation angle received by the receiving means ().

Wireless data transmitting and receiving system

A tightening torque measuring unit capable of reducing errors with respect to either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction as soon as possible is provided. A tightening torque measuring unit, installed in a tightening device, includes a torque sensorthat detects a tightening torque and an amplifier that amplifies an output from the torque sensor. The amplifierorapplies a different gain to the output from the torque sensor depending on whether the tightening direction of the tightening apparatus is clockwise or counterclockwise.

Tightening torque measuring unit

A bolt or nut tightening device having an outer shaft and an inner shaft rotatable in directions opposite to each other, the outer shaft having a reaction receiver projecting therefrom sideways and provided with a tightening torque measuring unit, the tightening torque measuring unit comprising a strain sensor, a circuit board, an indicator, a battery, a case for accommodating the circuit board, the indicator and the battery, and a mount tubular member fitted around and rotatable with the outer shaft, the case being attached to an outer peripheral portion of the mount tubular member and projecting toward the same direction as the reaction receiver, the case being so sized as to be hidden by a contour of the reaction receiver and being so positioned as to be hidden behind the reaction receiver when seen from the forward end side of the engaging portion.

Bolt or nut tightening device

A bolt or nut tightening device has an outer shaft and an inner shaft rotatable in directions opposite to each other, the outer shaft having a reaction receiver projecting therefrom sideways, the inner shaft being provided with an engaging portion engageable with a bolt or nut to be tightened, the bolt or nut tightening device being provided on the outer shaft with a tightening torque measuring unit, which comprises a strain sensor, a circuit board, an indicator, a battery, and a case for accommodating the circuit board, the indicator and the battery, the case being attached to the outer shaft, projecting toward the same direction as the reaction receiver, and being so sized as to be hidden by a contour of the reaction receiver and so positioned as to be hidden behind the reaction receiver when seen from the forward end side of the engaging portion.

Power increasing device with a display for wrench

A tightening torque measuring unit () has an inner shaft () connectable to a first output shaft () of a tightening device main body () and an outer shaft () connectable to a second output shaft () of the body. The inner shaft () is provided with a tightening socket (), and the outer shaft () with a reaction force receiver (). The outer shaft () has strain gauges (), and an indicator () for converting an amount of strain detected by the gauges into a corresponding tightening torque value. Since the reaction force receiver () can be attached to the measuring unit (), the tightening reaction force is prevented from acting to knock down the receiver (), enabling the unit () to measure tightening torque, with the device main body (), the measuring unit () and the socket () positioned in alignment with the axis of the nut to be tightened.
