A bracket includes an upper bracket and a lower bracket. The upper bracket and the lower bracket support a supported body from above and below between the upper bracket and the lower bracket. The lower bracket has a pair of lateral lower bracket sidewall portions overlapping with a pair of lateral upper bracket sidewall portions of the upper bracket. The lateral lower bracket sidewall portions catch with the lateral upper bracket sidewall portions to catch the lower bracket on the upper bracket.

A connector assembly includes a plurality of circuit boards and a bracket retaining the plurality of circuit boards. The circuit boards each have a plugging portion to be plugged into a mating connector and each have a first main face facing a second main face of an adjacent circuit board of the plurality of circuit boards. The bracket retains the plurality of circuit boards with the plugging portions facing downward and with each of the circuit boards capable of making a predetermined amount of independent movement in a pair of directions in a horizontal plane.

Connector assembly with a plurality of circuit boards

A connector comprises a daughterboard and a metallic shell. The daughterboard has a first edge with first connection pads and a second edge with second connection pads. The first edge is inserted into an on-board connector including first contacts. The on-board connector is mounted on a motherboard and each of the first connection pads is connected to one of the first contacts. The metallic shell has side plates each facing and extending along one of a front board face and a back board face of the daughterboard. Each of the side plates has a base spaced apart from the front board face or the back board face and a retaining portion protruding inward from the base. The retaining portion retains the front board face or a back board face of the daughterboard and has an opening formed around the retaining portion extending through the metallic shell.

Connector

A card connector for receiving a card is provided. The card connector includes a housing a plurality of contacts, a slider and a stopper. The housing includes a front wall, a rear wall, and a card receiving passageway formed therein. The contacts are secured in the housing. The slider is positioned and slidable between the front wall and the rear wall. The stopper is supported by the slider and includes end sections positioned adjacent to the slider, such that a space is provided between one of the end sections and the slider.

Card connector

A detection switch for detecting when a card is inserted in to a connector. The detection switch includes a housing, a shell, a card receiving passageway, and a detection switch. The shell is disposed on and covers the housing. The card receiving passageway is arranged between the housing and the shell. The detection switch detects when the card is inserted into the card receiving passageway and disposed along a side of the card connector. The detection switch includes a fixed contact secured to the housing, and a movable contact extending from the shell and configured to (1) contact the fixed contact when the card is not inserted in the card receiving passageway and (2) release from contact with the fixed contact when the card is inserted into the card receiving passageway.
