The disclosed manufacturing method includes: a step (i) of preparing an anode substrate having a metal foil exposed at an end surface of the anode substrate; a step (ii) of connecting a plurality of anode lead members to the anode substrate and forming a second dielectric layer on the end surface; a step (iii) of forming a plurality of the anode bodies to which the anode lead members are connected by cutting the anode substrate at a predetermined length; a step (iv) of forming a laminate by laminating the anode body, a cathode body, and a separator; and a step (v) of impregnating the laminate with a conductive polymer and an electrolytic solution. Step (ii) includes: connecting the plurality of anode lead members to the anode substrate; and forming the second dielectric layer on the end surface by immersing the anode substrate in a chemical conversion liquid.

An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, and a liquid component. The capacitor element includes an anode body having a dielectric layer at a surface of the anode body, and a conductive polymer component covering part of the dielectric layer. The liquid component contains a first solvent, a base component, and an acid component. The first solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyol and a derivative thereof. The base component contains a first base which has no boiling point or a boiling point of 100° C. or higher. A conjugate acid of the first base has an acid dissociation constant of 5 or more and 10 or less.

A method for producing an electrolytic capacitor, the electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element including an anode body and a cathode body each having a foil shape. The anode body includes a dielectric layer on a surface of the anode body. The method includes a step of forming a capacitor element precursor by winding or stacking a separator, the anode body, and the cathode body with the separator interposed between the anode body and the cathode body, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a treatment liquid containing a polyhydric alcohol, a solvent, and a conductive polymer component, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a liquid component after the step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with the treatment liquid, and a step of forming the capacitor element by eluting the polyhydric alcohol into the liquid component.

In the third step, the capacitor element is, after the second step, impregnated with a second treatment solution that contains a polyol compound having 3 or more hydroxyl groups per molecule.
