An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, and a liquid component. The capacitor element includes an anode body having a dielectric layer at a surface of the anode body, and a conductive polymer component covering part of the dielectric layer. The liquid component contains a first solvent, a base component, and an acid component. The first solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyol and a derivative thereof. The base component contains a first base which has no boiling point or a boiling point of 100° C. or higher. A conjugate acid of the first base has an acid dissociation constant of 5 or more and 10 or less.

A method for producing an electrolytic capacitor, the electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element including an anode body and a cathode body each having a foil shape. The anode body includes a dielectric layer on a surface of the anode body. The method includes a step of forming a capacitor element precursor by winding or stacking a separator, the anode body, and the cathode body with the separator interposed between the anode body and the cathode body, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a treatment liquid containing a polyhydric alcohol, a solvent, and a conductive polymer component, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a liquid component after the step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with the treatment liquid, and a step of forming the capacitor element by eluting the polyhydric alcohol into the liquid component.

The plurality of anode tabs include a first anode tab group and a second anode tab group. Each of the first and second anode tab group has a through hole Ha. The anode lead member includes a metal plate-shaped anode connection part, the anode connection part being connected to the first anode tab group and the second anode tab group. Each of the first and second node tab group is connected to the anode connection part using a first fixing structure. The first fixing structure is formed by a portion of the anode connection part extending through the through hole Ha and spreading out to form a crimping structure on the other side.

An electrical conductivity of the electrolytic solution at 30° C. is 3.0 mS/cm or more.

In the first step, a capacitor element is prepared that includes an anode body on which a dielectric layer is formed. In the second step, the capacitor element is impregnated with a first treatment solution containing at least a conductive polymer and a first solvent. In the third step, the capacitor element is, after the second step, impregnated with a second treatment solution that contains a polyol compound having 3 or more hydroxyl groups per molecule.

An electrode foil for an electrolytic capacitor includes an anode electrode body including a base material part having a porous body portion, and a dielectric layer disposed on a surface of the porous body portion. The anode electrode body has a first main surface in which pores of the porous body portion are opened, a second main surface opposite to the first main surface, and an end surface connecting the first main surface and the second main surface. In the porous body portion, a first film thickness of the dielectric layer in an end surface vicinity region is larger than a second film thickness of the dielectric layer in a deep inner region, the end surface vicinity region being a region within a predetermined distance from the end surface, the deep inner region being a region located away from the first main surface and at a central portion in a direction parallel to the first main surface.
