An inverter-integrated electric compressor comprising a compressing mechanism portion which sucks, compresses and discharges fluid, a motor which drives the compressing mechanism portion, a body casing in which the motor is incorporated, the body casing being hermetically closed, a suction passage formed in one of ends of the body casing, and an inverter case in which an inverter for driving the motor is incorporated. At least a portion of the inverter case is closely brought into contact with and fixed to, in its axial direction, the body casing in which the suction passage is formed.

Inverter-integrated electric compressor

A refrigerant go-around passage is provided in a housing of a compressor. The passage takes in refrigerant discharged from a compression mechanism into the housing, makes the refrigerant go around an axial line of the compressor and finally returns the refrigerant to the discharge-port side of the housing while separating liquid contained in the refrigerant from the refrigerant by centrifugation or by centrifugation and collision. In the mid portion of the refrigerant go-around passage, a liquid returning port is provided for returning the separated liquid to the housing in such a manner that the liquid returning port has an orientation that has a component in a direction of gravity and that is deviated from a traveling direction of the refrigerant.

Compressor and mechanism for separating lubricating liquid

A compressor in which an electric motor and a compressing mechanism are accommodated in a case, a main shaft and an auxiliary shaft of a rotating shaft of the motor are supported by a radial plain bearing and a rolling bearing with a predetermined clearance given to the rotating shaft in an axial direction, a flange portion that contacts with a main-shaft receiving member of the radial plain bearing to align the rotating shaft with the compressing mechanism is provided on the main shaft, and preload toward the side of the rolling bearing is given to the rotating shaft. A compressor and an electric motor in which their weights are successfully reduced by employing a light-metal conductor wire for a winding, by reducing constituent components of a stator and a rotor of the electric motor, by providing a notch or a hole, and by eliminating the need for components necessary to mount the stator in a housing or a casing.

Capacity control scroll compressor

A variable capacity control scroll compressor, including: a cylinder disposed in the end plate of the fixed scroll incorporating a reciprocating shuttle valve to selectively enable fluid passage through a first group of bypass holes communicating with a pair of fluid pockets in a given compression stroke, and further through a second group of bypass holes communicating with a single fluid pocket as the pair of fluid pockets merge into one pocket during compression, sequential opening and closing of these bypass holes being controlled by a pressure control valve administering a control pressure Pm to operate the shuttle valve, the control valve being provided in the fixed end plate such that all of the control mechanism components are integrated into a single structure to reduce fabrication costs and enhance control efficiency.

Variable capacity scroll compressor

A scroll compressor includes a compressor housing made up of a cup-like first casing having a suction port defined therein and a cap-like second casing having a discharge port defined therein. The compressor housing accommodates a stationary scroll member having a stationary end plate and a stationary scroll wrap protruding axially from the stationary end plate, and an orbiting scroll member having an orbiting end plate and an orbiting scroll wrap protruding axially from the orbiting end plate, with the orbiting scroll wrap being in engagement with the stationary scroll wrap to define a plurality of working pockets therebetween. At least one shim is interposed between mating surfaces of the first and second casings to regulate axial gaps between axial end surfaces of the stationary and orbiting scroll wraps and the orbiting and stationary end plates opposed thereto. The stationary end plate is positioned in the proximity of the mating surfaces of the first and second casings so that a low-pressure chamber is defined between the stationary end plate and the first casing, while a high-pressure chamber is defined between the stationary end plate and the second casing. The location of the stationary end plate in the proximity of the mating surfaces of the first and second casings reduces a variation in the axial gaps referred to above.

A scroll compressor includes an orbital drive mechanism for orbiting an orbiting scroll relative to a stationary scroll. The orbiting scroll is formed with a generally cylindrical boss extending in a direction away from the stationary scroll. The orbital drive mechanism includes a main shaft rotatably supported by a compressor housing, an eccentric shaft extending from one end face of the main shaft and having a longitudinal axis parallel to, but offset laterally from a longitudinal axis of the main shaft, and an eccentric bush having a socket inserted rotatably into the cylindrical boss. The eccentric shaft, engaged in the socket, has first and second rounded side faces opposite to each other both having a common center of curvature, while the socket has first and second inner wall portions opposite to each other, each of which has a center of curvature substantially aligned with the common center of curvature of the first and second rounded side faces of the eccentric shaft. Third and fourth side faces of the eccentric shaft extending between associated ends of the first and second rounded side faces confront third and fourth inner wall portions of the socket and are spaced inwardly therefrom so that the eccentric bush can swing relative to the eccentric shaft about the common center of curvature of the first and second rounded side faces of the eccentric shaft, thus varying the orbiting radius.

Scroll compressor having improved orbital drive mechanism

A fluid rotating apparatus according to the present invention is designed to promptly achieve an extremely high degree of vacuum from atmospheric pressure by its single apparatus. Moreover, high-speed synchronous rotation of the rotary shafts of the apparatus is controlled by use of a rotary position detecting sensor, to thereby avoid control through mechanical contact thereof with a gear or the like. In addition, hydrostatic bearings are employed for supporting the rotary shaft to avoid mechanical abrasion and the use of lubricant oil.

Fluid rotating apparatus

A fluid rotating apparatus according to the present invention is designed to promptly achieve an extremely high degree of vacuum from promptly atmospheric pressure promptly by its single apparatus. Moreover, high-speed synchronous rotation of the rotary shafts of the apparatus is controlled by use of a rotary position detecting sensor, to thereby avoid control mechanical contact thereof with a gear or the like. In addition, hydrostatic bearing are employed for supporting the rotary shafts to avoid of mechanical abrasion and the use of lubricant oil.

In a non-clutch compressor, by controlling a differential pressure between a crank chamber accommodating an oscillating plate therein and a cylinder chamber in a suction stroke, an incline angle of the oscillating plate is sequentially changed so that a maximum stroke of a piston is changeable. The compressor includes a passage opening and closing device arranged at an inlet section of one of a suction pipe connecting with a suction chamber of the compressor and the suction chamber, and a pressure control valve arranged between a discharge chamber and the crank chamber, the valve opening in a case where pressure in the suction chamber is less than a set value. In the compressor, a cross-sectional area (A) of a passage of a discharge hole for connecting the crank chamber with the suction chamber is expressed by an equation: 0.5&lt;(A)&lt;1.8 mm.sup.2.

Non-clutch compressor

A compressor of a movable slanting plate type which includes a shaft to be rotated by receiving an external driving force, a rotor having a plurality of cylinder chambers disposed in a parallel relation with the shaft so as to be rotated together with the shaft, a plurality of pistons which revolve while reciprocating within each of the cylinder chambers, a plurality of rods each connected at its one end, to each of the pistons, and having a ball joint at its other end, a plurality of holder shoes each connected to the rod through the ball joint for free directivity, a movable slanting plate revolving supporting said holder shoes, and capable of changing its inclination angle to one direction with respect in the shaft, a valve plate provided with a plurality of suction ports and discharge ports communicated with the cylinder chambers of the rotor, and a guide plate fixed to the shaft or the rotor and formed with guide bores for slidably guiding the plurality of the rods in the axial direction.

Movable slanting plate type compressor

In a pressure control valve (28) of a variable capacity compressor, a pressure detecting part (48) which compares suction pressure of the compressor with atmospheric pressure, a valve (52) urged to close by a spring (53), a rod driven by the pressure detecting part and an electromagnetic coil (55) for attracting and opening the valve are provided, thereby to change capacity of the compressor continuously.
