A vehicle orientation estimation system includes a region setting unit. The region setting unit can set a first region and a second region that is on a same horizontal line as the first region, in a measurement region corresponding to a road surface acquired by a distance measurement device mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle orientation estimation system can include a distance calculation unit that calculates a distance to the road surface of each of the first region and the second region from the vehicle. The vehicle orientation estimation system can also include an inclination angle calculation unit that obtains an inclination angle of the vehicle based on the distance to the road surface of each of the first region and the second region and a positional relationship of the first region and the second region.

An aiming device that calculates a correction parameter for correcting a detection result of a target sensor includes an estimated-track generation unit that detects a track of a target for a period when an own vehicle moves, by using information of a movement of the own vehicle, which is detected by a movement sensor, and generates a plurality of estimated tracks having different start-point positions from the detected track of the target by using a first variable group, a corrected-track generation unit that generates a plurality of corrected tracks from the track of the target around the own vehicle, which is detected by the target sensor, by using a second variable group, and a correction parameter calculation unit that selects a combination in which a difference between the estimated track and the corrected track is small, and calculates the correction parameter for correcting a displacement of the target sensor by using a first variable related to the selected estimated track and a second variable related to the selected corrected track.

Aiming device, driving control system, and method for calculating correction amount for sensor data

It is possible to cope with a deviation of a relative position between a headlight and an in-vehicle camera. An in-vehicle system includes: an irradiation unit that irradiates an area other than a set light-shielding range with light; an imaging unit that images a range including an irradiation range of the light emitted by the irradiation unit to acquire a captured image; an object detection unit that detects a non-target object which is not to be irradiated with the light from the captured image; a direct irradiation prevention unit that calculates the light-shielding range on the basis of a position of the non-target object in the captured image and correction information, and sets the light-shielding range in the irradiation unit; a correction-time light-shielding range setting unit that sets the predetermined light-shielding range in the irradiation unit; and a correction calculation unit that calculates the correction information on the basis of the captured image when the correction-time light-shielding range setting unit sets the light-shielding range in the irradiation unit.

Electronic control device

An automatic light system is provided for automatically turning on and off vehicle lights in accordance with the surrounding environment. The system includes an imaging device that images an area in front of the vehicle and generates image data; an image processing unit that generates light mode information on the basis of the brightness in an upper region and lower region of the image data; and a light control unit that controls the lights on the basis of the light mode information. The image processing unit sets a higher weight to a measurement region in the movement direction of the vehicle from among a plurality of measurement regions set in the upper region and a lower weight to the other measurement regions to calculate the brightness in the upper region and generates the light mode information on the basis of the brightness in the upper region.

Automatic light system

Provided is an object detection system which enables detection of a body of interest without causing any disturbance outside a vehicle even if the body of interest is present in a restricted-illumination area. In accordance with the timing whereby an imaging module captures an image of an object in the restricted-illumination area and on the basis of the result of image processing by an image processing module, an illumination control module controls the start and end of illumination of the restricted-illumination area by an illumination module.

Object detection system

The present invention provides an image-capturing device capable of fulfilling a complementary role to a vehicle behavior sensor when a failure occurs in the vehicle behavior sensor. The invention is characterized by being provided with: an image acquisition unit for acquiring images of the surroundings of a vehicle; a vehicle behavior inference unit for inferring vehicle behavior information on the basis of the images acquired by the image acquisition unit; a vehicle behavior acquisition unit for acquiring vehicle behavior information which has been detected by a vehicle behavior sensor; and an abnormality detection unit for detecting an abnormality in the vehicle behavior sensor by comparing the behavior information acquired by the vehicle behavior acquisition unit and the behavior information inferred by the vehicle behavior inference unit.

The objective of the present invention is to obtain an external environment-recognizing apparatus with which it is possible to obtain detection results having a necessary accuracy when a plurality of target objects from a captured image are detected. External-environment-recognizing apparatus

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an imaging device that prevents mismatching in image matching for parallax calculation even if the sharpnesses of an end part and center part of a processing area differ. An imaging deviceaccording to the present invention is provided with a means for equalizing the sharpnesses of the processing areas of a reference image and a comparison image.

To provide a moving object recognition apparatus that earlier detects a moving object crossing a road, the moving object recognition apparatus includes a left imaging unit, a right imaging unit, a moving object detection unit that detects a moving object based on images imaged by the left imaging unit and the right imaging unit, wherein, suppose that non-overlap regions in which an imaging region of the left imaging unitand an imaging region of the right imaging unitdo not overlap are first regionsand an overlap region in which the imaging region of the left imaging unit and the imaging region of the right imaging unit overlap is a second region, the moving object detection unit uses different methods of detecting the moving object between the first regions and the second region.

Moving object recognition apparatus

Although a conventional method can eliminate a mounting position deviation when left and right camera units only are taken into consideration, a problem is posed that deviation again occurs due to poor machining precision and assembly precision at the mounting surface between a camera unit and a member when a camera unit is mounted to a stay. According to this invention, mounting surfaces for mounting left and right imaging elements to a stay are provided to directly position left and right imaging elements to the stay, whereby built-up tolerance between components is reduced and the positional mounting precision between imaging elements is improved.

Stereo camera

A stereo camera apparatus which carries out distance measuring stably and with high accuracy by making measuring distance resolution variable according to a distance to an object is provided. A stereo camera apparatustakes in two images, changes resolution of a partial area of each image that is taken in, and calculates a distance from a vehicle to an object that is imaged in the partial area, based on disparity of the partial area of each image in which resolution is changed. Thus, even when the object exists at a long distance and is small in size, distance measuring processing can be carried out stably.

Stereo camera apparatus

There is provided an image processing apparatus that can implement image recognition processing on all of objects to be recognized, and can reduce a load of capturing and transferring images. The image processing apparatus includes: an image capturing unit that captures image information picked up by an imaging element; a processing region setting unit that sets a plurality of processing regions for the image information; a processing sequence/frequency determination unit that determines at least any one of a sequence, a frequency, and a timing of capturing the respective image information in a plurality of set processing regions, and at least any one of a sequence, a frequency, and a timing of processing the respective image information; and an image processing unit that captures the image information for each of the processing regions according to the sequence, the frequency, or the timing which has been determined, and processes the captured image information according to the sequence, the frequency, or the timing which has been determined.
