A method for producing a Fe—Cr alloy comprises: rolling a slab having a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.020% or less, Si: 0.01% to 1.5%, Mn: 1.0% or less, P: 0.040% or less, S: 0.010% or less, Cr: 16.0% to 30.0%, Al: 2.0% to 6.5%, N: 0.020% or less, and Ni: 0.50% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities to obtain a sheet material; subjecting the sheet material to siliconizing treatment by a thermal CVD method to obtain a Fe—Cr alloy having a Si content of more than 1.5 mass % and 10.0 mass % or less and satisfying:14.0%≤Si+1.15×% Al+0.35×% Cr  (1)where % Si, % Al, and % Cr indicate Si, Al, and Cr contents, by mass %, respectively in the chemical composition of the Fe—Cr alloy.

Multilayer electrical steel sheet

Provided is a multilayer electrical steel sheet having both low high-frequency iron loss and high magnetic flux density. The multilayer electrical steel sheet has an inner layer and surface layers provided on both sides of the inner layer, in which each of the surface layers has a Si content of 2.5 mass % to 6.0 mass %, the inner layer has a Si content of 1.5 mass % to 5.0 mass %, and the multilayer electrical steel sheet has: &#x394;Si of 0.5 mass % or more; &#x394;Al of 0.05 mass % or less; &#x394;&#x3bb;of 1.0&#xd7;10or less; a sheet thickness t of 0.03 mm to 0.3 mm; and a ratio of a total thickness of the surface layers ti to t of from 0.10 to 0.70.

Iron loss is reduced by increasing magnetic flux density. Disclosed is a non-oriented electrical steel sheet has a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.0050% or less, Si: 1.50% or more and 4.00% or less, Al: 0.500% or less, Mn: 0.10% or more and 5.00% or less, S: 0.0200% or less, P: 0.200% or less, N: 0.0050% or less, O: 0.0200% or less, and Ca: 0.0010% or more and 0.0050% or less, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, in which the non-oriented electrical steel sheet has an Artransformation temperature of 700&#xb0; C. or higher, a grain size of 80 &#x3bc;m or more and 200 &#x3bc;m or less, and a Vickers hardness of 140 HV or more and 230 HV or less.

Non-oriented electrical steel sheet and method of producing same

A high-silicon steel sheet is excellent in terms of punching workability and magnetic property. High-silicon steel sheet and method of manufacturing the same

An electrical steel sheet has a composition including C: less than 0.010 mass %, Si: 1.5&#x2dc;10 mass % and the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, wherein a main orientation in a texture of a steel sheet is &#x3c;111&#x3e;//ND and an intensity ratio relative to randomly oriented specimen of the main orientation is not less than 5 and, preferably an intensity ratio relative to randomly oriented specimen of {111}&#x3c;112&#x3e; orientation is not less than 10, an intensity ratio relative to randomly oriented specimen of {310}&#x3c;001&#x3e; orientation is not more than 3 and Si concentration has a gradient that it is high at a side of a surface layer and low at a central portion in the thickness direction and a maximum value of the Si concentration is not less than 5.5 mass % and a difference between maximum and minimum values is not less than 0.5 mass %.

Non-oriented electrical steel sheet having excellent magnetic properties

An electrical steel sheet has a component composition including, by mass %, C: 0.007% or less, Si: 4% to 10%, and Mn: 0.005% to 1.0%, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, as well as a sheet thickness within a range of 0.01 mm or more to 0.10 mm or less, and a profile roughness Pa of 1.0 &#x3bc;m or less. The electrical steel sheet exhibits excellent iron loss properties whereby the magnetic property is free from deterioration, and degradation of the stacking factor can be avoided, even when the steel sheet with a thickness of 0.10 mm or less has been subjected to siliconizing treatment to increase the Si content in the steel.

Ultrathin electromagnetic steel sheet

An iron powder for dust cores is provided which can be formed into a dust core having a high resistivity and having a low iron loss without degrading the mechanical strength. A method of making a steel sheet for a tension mask, including the steps of: hot rolling a steel consisting essentially of, by weight %, C: less than 0.1%, Si: 0.05% or less, Mn: 0.4 to 2%, P: 0.03% or less, S: 0.03% or less, sol.Al: 0.01% or less, N: 0.010% or more, and the balance of Fe; and annealing the cold rolled steel sheet, followed by a secondary cold rolling at a reduction rate of 35% or higher.
