In a valve unit having an ON-OFF switch constituted by a valve, the associated valve seat and an insulation layer, the layer is made of a compound consisting of a specific metal and a specific reaction gas and the layer is coated on the outer surface of the valve in such a way that its electrical resistance increases progressively from the inner surface closest to the valve to the outer surface destined to make contact with a guide member of the valve.

Valve unit

In a solenoid valve with ON/OFF switch arranged by a valve member and the associated valve seat defined in an electrically conductive body, the solenoid valve has a stopper connected to the valve member for setting the stroke of the valve member and is guided by an insulating guide member mounted on the body in such a way that the stopper comes in contact with only one of the end portions of the guide member when the solenoid actuator is in the de-energized state and this end portion is acting as an electrically insulating stopping member for the stopper.

Solenoid valve

In a solenoid valve with ON/OFF switch arranged by a valve member and the associated valve seat defined in an electrically conductive body, the solenoid valve has a stopper connected to the valve member for setting the stroke of the valve member and comes in contact with the body when an actuator for driving the valve member is in its de-energized state and an electrically insulating sheet provided between the stopper and the body so as to prevent the valve member for coming in contact with the body through the stopper.

In a fuel injection valve, a nozzle body having a valve seat, and mounted through an electrically conductive spacer on a nozzle holder, a needle valve and an insulating layer constitute an ON-OFF switch for producing signals indicating the beginning and completion of injection, and an electrical insulation member provided between the rear end surface of the needle valve and the spacer to maintain the insulated state between the needle valve and the nozzle body during the fuel injection operation.
