The present application discloses a glass antenna arranged on a vehicular window glass. The glass antenna includes: a feeding terminal connected to an antenna amplifier; a first antenna connected to the feeding terminal and set so as to receive a radio frequency signal in a first frequency band which has a first wavelength at a central frequency of the first frequency band; a coupling element having a length set based on a length obtained by multiplying one-half of the first wavelength by a glass reduction rate, coupling element being connected to the feeding terminal; and a second antenna capacitively coupled to the coupling element and set so as to receive a radio frequency signal in a second frequency band which has a second wavelength at a central frequency of the second frequency band.

There is provided an AM/FM receiving antenna, which is provided at a windowpane of a vehicle, comprising an AM antenna element including an end portion as a power supply point and another end portion forming an open end, and an AM/FM antenna element connected to the AM antenna element via the power supply point, wherein a distance L between the end portion and the another end portion of the AM antenna element, a reduction ratio &#x3b1; of a material of the windowpane, a minimum wavelength &#x3bb;of a receiving FM frequency band, and a maximum wavelength &#x3bb;of the receiving FM frequency band meet a requirement equation of &#x3b1;&#xb7;&#x3bb;/2&#x2266;L&#x2266;&#x3b1;&#xb7;&#x3bb;/2. The AM/FM receiving antenna can properly achieve the compatibility of receiving sensitivity of the AM and FM electric waves, having a smaller layout space for antenna elements.

A glass antenna device for a vehicle includes an FM antenna (as a receiving antenna for short-waves) and a defogger provided on a rear window glass of the vehicle, and an AM antenna (as a receiving antenna for medium-waves) provided on a side window glass fixed at a different position from the rear window glass of the vehicle. Since the AM antenna is spaced relatively far distant from electric equipments such as a rear wiper, stop lamps and indicators disposed at a rear portion of the vehicle, noises generated from the electric equipments are unlikely to be mixed in a transmission line of the antenna device.

A GPS wave antenna apparatus according to the present invention includes a substrate unit having a printed board on which an antenna constituting element including a GPS wave antenna element is mounted integrally as one component, a case having an opening portion at one end, for detachably receiving the substrate unit through the opening portion, and a conductive plate attached to the case so as to block the opening portion and arranged opposite to the GPS wave antenna element at a fixed distance therebetween. The GPS wave antenna element has a thin-film conductive pattern, and the substrate unit includes a low noise amplifier provided on the printed board and a feeder connected to a feeder section of the antenna element through the low noise amplifier.

A conductor is mounted on the window glass of a vehicle in a manner that allows a slot portion between the conductor and the body. A space is allowed within the conductor, and a defogger is mounted within the space. The conductor and the body are fed. This arrangement constitutes a simple structured vehicular slot type antenna on the window glass. The area of the conductor may be reduced by taking advantage of the rear defogger as a conductor.
