An organic electric field light-emitting element, which contains: an anode; a cathode; and a light-emitting layer provided between the anode and the cathode, wherein the light-emitting layer contains two or more luminescent materials each giving a different emission peak, and a concentration ratio [(B/A)&#xd7;100] in the light-emitting layer gradually increases along with the direction from an anode side of the light-emitting layer to a cathode side of the light-emitting layer, where A denotes a concentration of the luminescent material having the emission peak at the shortest wavelength side compared to the emission peaks of other luminescent materials, and B denote a concentration of the luminescent material having the emission peak at the longest wavelength side compared to the emission peaks of other luminescent materials, and wherein the light-emitting layer satisfies the relationship of: [(B/A)&#xd7;100]&#x2266;10%.

Organic electric field light-emitting element

An object of the present invention is to enable suppression of a leak current of an organic EL element while improving a conductivity of the organic EL element and suppressing an operation voltage thereof. An organic EL element is used which comprises at least a luminescent layer, a hole transport layer adjacent to a positive-electrode side of the luminescent layer, and an electron injection transport layer adjacent to a negative-electrode side of the luminescent layer, wherein a hole injection layer is provided between the hole transport layer and the positive electrode, and the conductivity of the hole injection layer continuously changes along a thickness direction of the hole injection layer.

An anti-deformation structure is formed on the surface of a flexible plate-shaped part. The anti-deformation structure includes protrusions and depressions formed on the surface of the plate-shaped part. The protrusions and depressions has a shape in which adjacent protrusions become in contact with each other in the state when the plate-shaped part is deformed within a range of elastic deformation, restricting further greater deformation, and thus, preventing excessive deformation leading to permanent deformation and raising the resistance to the stress. The flexible base material can be applied to flexible image-displaying devices.

An object of the invention is to provide an organic EL element which uses an organometallic complex emitting light by phosphorescence and which represents excellent luminous efficiency, etc; or the like. The organic EL element of the invention includes the organometallic complex, where the organometallic complex includes a metal atom, and a tridentate ligand, where the tridentate ligand binds to the metal atom tridentately via two nitrogen atoms and a carbon atom, and the carbon atom is located between the two nitrogen atoms, and where the tridentate ligand has two azomethine bonds (&#x2014;C&#x2550;N&#x2014;), and each nitrogen atom in the azomethine bonds coordinates to the metal atom. Preferably, in one aspect, the organometallic complex includes a monodentate ligand which binds to the metal atom monodentately, and in another aspect, the metal atom is Pt.
