A money handling apparatus performs a money dispensing process, the money handling apparatus including a storage cassette, a plurality of storage units and processing circuitry. The storage cassette is detachably mounted to the money handling apparatus, and the storage cassette to store money for a replenishment process. The plurality of storage units store money. The processing circuitry is configured to receive a designation of a processing time of the replenishment process, and control the replenishment process based on the processing time so that a storage unit of the plurality of storage units is replenished with money fed out from the storage cassette.

Provided is a money handling apparatus that can be easily introduced in a store. The money handling system includes: a money handling apparatus installed in a store and capable of executing basic functions including a checkout function; and a operation terminal connected to the money handling apparatus. When executing the checkout function, the money handling apparatus receives, through the operation terminal, an input of prices and quantities of items a customer purchases in the store, to calculate a transaction amount. The apparatus recognizes and counts money, which is deposited through an inlet for paying the transaction amount, to calculate a deposit amount of deposited money, and stores the deposited money inside the money handling apparatus. When the deposit amount exceeds the transaction amount, the money handling apparatus feeds out money corresponding to a difference therebetween, and dispenses the fed out money as change to an outlet.

Money handling machine

The present invention provides a coin handling machine the handling efficiency of which can be improved. On an operation unit, either a normal counting mode or a continuous counting mode is selected. Coins are counted by a count processing unit. A count abnormality in the count processing unit is detected by an abnormality detecting unit. In a case where a count abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting unitduring count processing, when the normal counting mode is selected, a coin count value is cleared and a quantity error is prevented. In the case where a count abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting unitduring count processing, when the continuous counting mode is selected, the coin count value is held, so that continuous processing is performed even if a count error occurs, so that the handling efficiency is improved.
